I see many in the comments comparing Jeff Gutt to Chester Bennington. It goes even further back than most know. I got this info from another YT comment so not sure if it's 100% true. Anyway Dry Cell and Linkin Park were signed to the same label at the same time.Legend has it that LP were promoted more with a massive marketing budget and DC weren't. They chose LP over DC. Apparently some of the band members were pissed at this and made illegal copies of their album which they sold. And thus they became blacklisted in the indusrty. Jeff went his own way but it was tough with only small gigs. Then XFactor. Then a couple more bands before STP found him.

Linkin Park had subtle Hardcore influences, more appropriately East Coast Hardcore such as Hatebreed and Suicidal Tendencies. Dry Cell though is not just rock, they have some programming and even some reggae drum beats. Those are both characteristics of Nu Metal which Dry Cell and Linkin Park are.
