We all just wanna go to school in peace..and what we need the most rn is love and support. The kid who shot 19 people in Uvalde Texas yesterday was bullied a lot in his formative years...I ain't justifying what he did...but that kid needed serious medical attention and most importantly love and support of others.

2021 and I'm approaching seventy-two years of existence, still listening at the edge... remembering the first time I heard this, thinking, how tragic. No sense of hope or true vision of a future for themselves or their peers. If You're reading this, you found a path through the crap and I congratulate you. Inspire the generations that are following you to know that life, in and of itself, is worth the pain and confusion of growing into adulthood. We were all there once, some more than others... it hurts less to know that you truly are not alone. Also, believe it or not...I'm a conservative. LOL...we aren't all poison.

I agree and somehow disagree. Since kinda every decades has the similar blatant music and genre since May 1968 to nowadays . Only difference in todays music as whatsoever is the boring choice of words means to not hurt a certain ethnicity. The same rhythm etc... This music style was so a common back in the 90's . I call it pre-puber generation music that are in their 16-25 years . The style is similar as to Eminem, The Prodigy, LaCuna Coil, The Chemical Brothers,...mix that with some electro music and a fake live like children are singing with it to make it more credible. Kinda another band from that era was similar "Alien At Farm" used a song from Michael Jackson their title and clip showed a monkey etc...

Lyrics : Last day of the rest of my life I wish I would've known 'Cause I didn't kiss my mama goodbye I didn't tell her that I loved her and how much I cared Or thank my pops for all the talks And all the wisdom he shared Unaware, I just did what I always do Every day, the same routine Before I skate off to school But who knew that this day wasn't like the rest Instead of taking a test I took two to the chest Call me blind, but I didn't see it coming Everybody was running But I couldn't hear nothing Except gun blasts, it happened so fast I don't really know this kid Though I sit by him in class Maybe this kid was reaching out for love Or maybe for a moment He forgot who he was Or maybe this kid just wanted to be hugged Whatever it was I know it's because Chorus : We are, we are the youth of the nation We are, we are youth of the nation We are, we are the youth of the nation We are, we are youth of the nation Little Suzy, she was only twelve She was given the world With every chance to excel Hang with the boys and hear the stories they tell She might act kind of proud But no respect for herself She finds love in all the wrong places The same situations Just different faces Changed up her pace since her daddy left her Too bad he never told her She deserved much better Johnny boy always played the fool He broke all the rules So you would think he was cool He was never really one of the guys No matter how hard he tried Often thought of suicide It's kind of hard when you ain't got no friends He put his life to an end They might remember him then You cross the line and there's no turning back Told the world how he felt With the sound of a gat Chorus : We are, we are the youth of the nation We are, we are youth of the nation We are, we are youth of the nation We are, we are youth of the nation Who's to blame for the lives that tragedies claim No matter what you say It don't take away the pain That I feel inside, I'm tired of all the lies Don't nobody know why It's the blind leading the blind I guess that's the way the story goes Will it ever make sense Somebody's got to know There's got to be more to life than this There's got to be more to everything I thought exists Chorus : We are, we are the youth of the nation We are, we are youth of the nation We are, we are the youth of the nation We are, we are youth of the nation We are, we are the youth of the nation We are, we are youth of the nation We are, we are the youth of the nation We are, we are youth of the nation The youth of the nation We are youth of the nation We are youth of the nation We are youth of the nation We are

As special as I am, I actually do try to tip toe what's appropriate or not. Like is there a kids bop version bc imagine a whole bunch of youngens playing musical chair to this 😭. & My teen legitimately has school shooting drills. Like wth in the world. Anyways, no real words but just hoping for the best. I came from this generation & now I work with kids. To me, most of em r babies. If they're not even in kindergarten age, yes! They're still babies. The rest r just youngens. Some of these bigger boys r like Pitts to me. Like idk how to calm you down but ur killing my leg. You're a big boy now! Plz behave "little man " & like not pretend I'm s.clause. I know I have excessive use of like but oh well, id . & I'll cringe about this in no time. But awww at little kids anyways.. They must be protected. Somexs they do make me think of how I used to work w/ the elderly bc like I done lost me a whole entire person. Heart drop. Also, no I didn't. It's just kids r so mini form, actually stuck by my leg, following me everywhere, I don't even see em somexs, lol. even being short myself. I just over look em, easily, quick to think they ran off somewhere. Whole time they're right beside me. Stick to an adult. _these ppl r gonna come after me 😭... Oh nvrmnd_ . At least if I hafta get them out of a burning building they're way easier to save.

sometimes songs are beyond their years. i remember when this song came out and felt that some songs just give you the impression that it would be something felt in 20 years time, and even though i was a teen then , i feel this song has more of an impact now after watching my teen daughter go through school and see how her peers family life and school experiences have gone for them. When this song came out, it wasnt known much about domestic violence, homeless teens that choose that life because home was too shit, drugs, violence, turbulent school life, psychology and medication, suicides. Like my teen years were very naive. my daughters and her friends were not so much.

We are the Lost Generation. I was 10 when 9/11 happened, and 8 years later I was on the frontlines in Afghanistan....wherever the fuck the frontline was. There wasn't one. I don't even want to think about all the brothers I lost without ever knowing the direction of the shot that killed them, or the IED that scattered their body parts all over the following humvee when they hit it. We hardly EVER saw them, but yet...my buddies kept dropping. Why I'm still alive tonight is the great joke, the torture I have to endure everyday knowing that I lived when I shouldn't have. Right now in the USA, our worst enemy is AMERICANS, ourselves! Every time we think we have finally reached an era of full scale people getting along wo ANY PROBLEMS, somethin always “randomly” happens that drives our country further and further apart!

i don't think it's "misunderstood" -- i think it's far worse: neglected and undermined. we've allowed ourselves to be persuaded that we're merely accidental survival engines in a purposeless world with no foundation for moral values, no strong connection to the divine, and nothing beyond the "right now" to incentivize our choices. the Boomers started it, the Xers endured it, the Millennials became its apotheosis, and the Zeds and Alphas are discovering just how horrid those ideas are, and are searching for answers in a world that no longer agrees that any such exist . . . . how can it be surprising that so many horrors occur in a society that believes its own cultural heritage is a scam?

@@JeriDro It's one of my favorites. There's so much to take out of that first chapter... It's more than just nothing new under the sun! Everything repeats according to its circuits. Everything is in motion as nothing is still. All is vanity. History repeats itself. The more one gains in the pursuit of wisdom and knowledge, it's a vexation of spirit where grief and sorrow will follow. I'm not that young and I'm not that old. I'm 41 yet I feel like I'm an old soul... should of been born at least 20-30 years earlier, the music in the mid to late 50s, all through the 60s and into the mid 70s was, well still is the best era of music, especially the 60s. Yet at the same time, I tend to be a kid at heart. I can completely relate with Solomon's words! I'm always trying to learn something new that I haven't learned yet, or even relearn something just to refresh my memory... The older you get and the more you take in, it can take a toll on your mind, your responses become slower, you can tend to forget simple things easier. There are many out there such as my father, he struggles with Alzheimer's. He knows who he is and who we are and all, but his short term memory is just about shot. He can tell you stuff from the late 40s and early 50s... but he can't remember what he said or did 20 minutes ago, or where he put his keys... Yeah it's tough! And to think there are some who don't even recognize or know themselves nor their loved ones...
