I think a better way of describing Florence's lyrics is "collage" rather than mosaic. I recognised the first time I heard Dry Cleaning (scratch-card lanyard) that she was recycling random snippets of speech she heard people say in day to day life to create a picture of modern life. absolutely genius.

Her disaffected vocal style is perfect with her absurdist lyrics... very much in the vein of predecessors like the Dadaists, Alfred Jerry, Picabia, even a bit Laurie Anderson. In any case, very much upper case ART! Love the videos!
