Do you prefer dry cupping over gua sha/muscle scraping techniques? I find that scraping is a little more effective on hard to reach areas. Also, what’s the natural progression to the cupping technique from session to session? Apply more pressure from the previous one administered or apply the same and observe the colour spot becoming more and more healthy, as we go along. Thank you.

They both have their place and use. On areas where the cups won’t stick, you can use the extension tube to create a constant suction and can then slide to produce the stretch reflex. I find that sliding with cupping, produces a fascial and muscular release, so use this instead of gua sha, but on sensitive clients then gua sha may be a preferred alternative 👍

@@CoreElementsTraining Thank you. I do find that slide cupping is more effective than gua sha for breaking up adhesions and freeing up stuck tissue. However, it is more daunting for the wrists when you self administer it. Are you familiar with the silicone cup "fascia buddy"? They provide a handle on top (with manual suction unfortunately) so the pressure on the wrists are minimised. What are your thoughts on that?

Do you have any cupping methods for tight pectoralis muscles
@CoreElementsTraining3 жыл бұрын
Yes, this is something we cover in our course. Essentially place the cups just underneath the clavicle bone and follow the line of the clavicle. Next time we film 🎥 I’ll aim to cover this area 👍

What do you think of the magnetic cups can it be used with your techniques?
@CoreElementsTraining3 жыл бұрын
Hi Rubina, The magnets on the stem that go inside the cups are aimed to be used over trigger points or specific areas of localised tension. You can use these statically, but I wouldn’t use the sliding technique with the magnets in. Kind regards Dawn

sir, is it good for quadriceps pain, hamstring tightness , muscle weakness and knee popping..... is it permanent solution?
@CoreElementsTraining Жыл бұрын
Yes definitely great for quadriceps and hamstrings pain and tightness 👍. Needs to be combined within a rounded treatment and rehabilitation for longer lasting results, rather than a one off treatment 👍

hi , how long do you keep the cup for the active part ? thank you
@CoreElementsTraining9 ай бұрын
Hi 👋, You’re guided by the colour of the cupping mark and the sensation that the person is experiencing. Often with movement techniques the person will feel a release after 3 - 6 repetitions. This is something that we discuss in our accredited dry cupping short course 👍

i took dry cupping and feeling very tired,fever,cold flu like symptoms and lot of sweating and headache done cupping on whole back is this normal?
@CoreElementsTraining3 жыл бұрын
No this isn’t normal. You’ve possibly picked up an illness? Some people get different effects, and depends on the style of cupping - traditional or western.... Cupping does stimulate the lymphatic system, so if you had an illness that had just been picked up, it could be stimulated, so that the body fights it more quickly. I hope you feel better soon.
