These videos drive me nuts for that exact reason. They act like they are cleaning off dirt, nope, you are cleaning off the underbody protection that the manufacturer put there for a reason. I’d be furious if someone did this to my car, let alone paying for the privilege. Doing it engine or suspension components is one thing but blasting the underseal off….

There’s a thin rubber plastic undercoating applied to the body during assembly before major components are in stalled you blasted it off. You can’t reapply it without taking everything apart. It’s why this is still in rust proof condition. CO2 blasting is good for dirt but you can do more damage than good…..

As you can see from video 80% of the car was exposed all the time… no coating, no protection and it survived over 20years with no problem at all. After cleaning we protect some parts with clear wax to preserve the perfect look for years to come. Btw. our clients know what they want and what it means to them and we always trying to delivered that as they expecting. And if you are not from CA then I recommend you to do a little research. 99% cars that are usually full of rust everywhere in the world are usually in really nice/perfect condition without any protection 😉 and we’re talking about daily cars… not NSX driven on weekends and sleeping in garage 😁

@@IAMDetailing This car will never see daily driving again most likely. But if this were a Civic and went to any state with more regular rain or snow it would rust out from where all that coating was removed. Looks pretty but provides no protection from corrosion. Wax is no substitute for rubberized undercoating the factory put on. Again this vehicle is probably destined for show or collection use in a place that won't have water sitting on the belly pan and undercarriage.

@@MarcM90ehv No. Well yes but the car is made out of aluminum. The reason for the massive amount of rubberized undercoating under the wheel wells and around those part of the car is noise dampening, And it even stops oil canning. So when rocks and stuff from the road hit it it'll be louder and now dent the soft aluminum instead of just bouncing off the rubber and whenever it gets a solid thump it'll bend the sheet metal back and forth making that wiggly sheet metal noise instead of having the dull thud that the dampening creates. Protection from rust is just a side thing but since it's aluminum you're not protecting it anymore than just regular paint

I love looking at cars being cleaned and detailed as much as the next guy, but why not show that you coat it again afterwards? You only show the stripping, which clearly (as can be seen by many comments) give some people the impression that a 'dirty' underbody is bad and that is should be squeeky clean and every bit of paint and metal exposed, which couldn't really be farther from the truth!

As you can see from video 80% of the car was exposed all the time… no coating, no protection and it survive over 20years with no problem at all. After cleaning we protect some parts with clear wax to preserve the perfect look for years to come. Btw. our clients know what they want and what it means to them and we always trying to delivered that as they are expecting. And if you are not from CA then I recommend you to do a little research. 99% cars that are usually full of rust everywhere in the world are usually in really nice/perfect condition without any protection 😉 and we talking about daily cars… not NSX driven on weekends and sleeping in garage 😁

@@IAMDetailing Was not aware your company was from CA. I live in Denmark where the conditions are cold, wet, close to coast and salty roads in the winter - pretty much what you would call salt-belt conditions. Stripping a car from undercoating and daily-driving it in our climate would result in rust very, very fast...

@@renefriis-christensen5513 yes I totally understand and I’m originally from Czech Republic so I know what rust is and how fast can destroy a car. But here in CA is everything totally different and thats why usually cars from here are more expensive than from other states 😉

So... You just removed all the under coating that protects the car from rust. I gave that car two years before the entire cars unibody is rusted and the whole car is junk. It looks great now but honestly you just destroyed a legend.

Use a paint thickness gauge on a clean spot before and after blasting…you’ll be sadly disappointed. Clean painted areas with brushes and degreaser before blasting away so you minimize the areas you need to expose to the material. Blast the unpainted areas to your heart’s content.

I understand this video is about cleaning a car however, this is an Acura NSX and deserves more love - I read the first dozen comments and nothing was mentioned about the late great Aryton Senna who teamed with Honda to develop this car. Does it get any cooler than that? RIP Ayrton, gone but not forgotten
