Dry Itchy Scalp and Sisterlocks| 6 Things You Can Do

Thank you for this! I'm almost 11 months into my sisterlocks journey and so far I've listened to what my loctician has told me. Lately, I've been experiencing a lot of itchy patches and dandruff. I've adjusted my washing and have been using the sisterlocks dandruff shampoo, but I'm still having this dandruff and itching issue. I always felt my scalp needed oil and I've been tempted to oil my scalp with essential oil, or like you suggested, just lightly oiling the problem areas. I have a retie coming up in a few weeks and I will talk to my loctician about this and let her know that I'm going to start incorporating essential oils into my routine. I LOVE peppermint and tea tree and rosemary essential oils. I will stop my suffering and DO SOMETHING about my itchy scalp!!

Hello! I ran across your video during my research for my locs. Over the Easter weekend(2023) I was in Flovilla at a wedding at Indian Springs! Smallworld. I am from Louisana but I live in Texas. My family lives in ATL. Girl I had never heard of Flovilla...LOL! It's beautiful and we actually saw someone getting water from that well. I just had to share! Thank you for the great information.

I know this video is 4 years old, but thank you. I’m experiencing so much scalp irritation. It came out of nowhere! My scalp is so itchy & it is turning white. I am allergic to a lot of products like tea tree oil, shea butters (Of course I don’t use on my sislocs), some natural plant sprays, but idk which ones! 😳 I just want my scalp to act right.

Oh wow. Start with plain ole avocado oil or Jojoba ONLY for a while and wait and see. I'd love to speak more about this. But simple is best while you troubleshoot.

Hello. I purchased your oil and just got my hair locked. Is it fine just to dilute it with water and spray on my scalp. My scalp is not itchy but it is very very flaky and dry. Hey Diedre! It's called INDIAN Springs. Amazing place. You can research it online..its in Flovila I think is the name. Water is amazing. It opens as early as 7am I believe and continues through the evening.
