...Brooklyn to Provo would be witness protection .... LMAO hysterical 🤣 😂 😆 💀
@xtremefight14 сағат бұрын
Back in the 90's, some Brooklyn guy opened an exotic game restaurant in the small California mountain community I lived in. I was told I should meet this guy because he seemed "like one of you business guys" (yeah, you can guess what they meant). I stopped by his place, enjoyed dinner, then chatted with the guy grilling him on what part of NYC he was from. He was being rather vague so I asked him "What, are you in the witness protection program?". The guy looked terrified. Two days later, the place was closed and he was gone. It turns out the owner was Henry Hill and he thought he got made. I found that our a few years later when I heard him on a talk show telling his version.

Your wedding ceremony must’ve been a blast, Jeff. I’m glad you and your wife were able to defy the superstition about broken glass being a bad omen in Chinese culture. Congrats on the anniversary, you two!
@reidate72742 жыл бұрын
About the bad omen: it actually ain't, some regional traditions do try to avoid broken glass on weeding days/important events, but it's more like just a scare (cuz you dont want your guests get cut on wedding day), but in general there's always a person there to turn it around into "sui sui ping an" which is a pun for "stay safe", and thus all the commotion gets ignored and everybody go back to being cheerful again. However if you have one or two extra grumpy guests that may be a different story where they make a big deal out of it...
@lim7lim2 жыл бұрын
@@reidate7274 The glass that gets broken at our weddings is always covered before in aluminium foil, so there are no shards. We don't think it's fun to get cut at a wedding either 😉 Cheers from Israel.

Amazing show Jeff. I too am Jewish though I wasn't raised in a traditional Jewish home. I was raised in a Christian home but have more recently started looking more at my Torah based heritage. I believe Yeshua is the Messiah but I believe the Church as a whole misses the fact that Torah was his upbringing and it has value in a well balanced life. Thank you so much for bringing your Jewishness into your show. It made it more close to home for me. Toda raba

Ben's, I have a fairly similar story, tho' I have mixed heritage (Jewish father, French-Canadian Catholic/Christian mother). I agree with your remarks! In recent years I started studying Judaism and early Christianity, and doing genealogy research. I have found that neither Jewish nor Christian people accept me in these regards. The entire Bible, including the New Testament , is connected to Judaism and the Messiah.

Look for a Jewish seventh-day adventist community, I think you're going to like the community and it will strengthen up your faith. If none is avaliable around your place, look for the regular seventh day adventist community. Different culture, but same beliefs. And keep studying the Torah, and the Bible as a whole ;)
