This was fantastic, and it is great when you actually know the different places he's talking about. I was laughing so hard with each new place they went when they first got to Minnesota, and understanding his fear his mom lied to him again 😂. I loved the"Up North" section too. I've had a few boyfriends originally from other countries that had been in Mpls several years, and I've had a couple ask me what the deal was with this going "Up North" once we'd been dating for a while. We're weird to people from other states though too, since we say how long it takes you to get somewhere when they ask how far away something is. Everyone else is looking for the distance and we answer in time lol.

Yes. He is spot-on! The irony is so delicious here. This guy, Ali has an honest, fresh perspective told light-heartedly, a talent which I admire in a way, because there are some very serious realities in the world making humor that much more difficult to find and enjoy without ruffling some feathers. The thing is to find a niche, middle ground of humor that everyone can relate with on some level, like he does here, and it is impressive. 😄 In short, may I say, major props, dude, right on!
