Lastly, Ive heard from others that the interception locations are just boring to be in and look at. A flat grey area with a fey towers of some grey material to grapple onto. I think they could bring it into the story of it too. "They've made it past they void and are about to enter Ingris, we have to stop them before they can cause damage to our world." typa thing. I'm just thinking about how it could be best implemented since now you queue up for a colossi battle and you join with 4 people. How that would go in an open world location I'm not sure.

I think TFD is still missing a gameplay loop that is more group oriented and in a more open-world sort of environment. The idea that comes to mind are the open-map patrols from Destiny with events you can easily hop in and out of, or the Bozja/Eureka style large-space instances where players can really just roam around in and participate in all kinds of public events as they spawn. Dungeons feel a bit too targeted to just run at random, and even then, players are probably more likely to run then solo to get through them quicker. The trader could actually synergize with gameplay like this pretty well, but since they haven't mentioned any content like this for October 10th, I doubt we'll see it anytime soon.

Executioner refuses to drop the last BP I need rofl. At least the hundreds of dungeon runs were fast and easy to score 2 AMats per run and got a few stabs too. The only upside to all the solo dungeons and colossi I have to farm is I have most of the red mods for the other characters I want to build next, and some nice component set selections. I also accidentally got all the stuff to build a couple descendants and multiple other ultimate weapons 1-2 times so those will be easier to max out if I want. The exchange vendor will be a nice addition to purge things I don't need like 30 synthetic fiber prints for Python. Hopefully you can buy activators and catalysts outright because I have more BPs of those than time/mats to build too. I really like the game and enjoy the invasions and building Haley but I want some variety instead of farming. Open world Colossus fights like one of teaser cinematics showed would be cool. I am wondering if the Mega Dungeon is going to be an open area dungeon with a Colossus for a boss and that is what the cinematic was showing. Invasions being solo has really turned people away I have a few friends that pretty much stopped because they can't do the main content for the season and I'll admit that I struggle with the invasions solo I am able to solo all the content in the game that can be done solo on hard with no real struggles with two or three descendants but the invasions are harder than anything else for me anyway. I know the top players can breeze through but from what I'm seeing that is not a majority so it's a mistake to restrict it as a solo activity

I'm in the same boat, I've done a couple of the Invasions, but they are just so annoying. I just hope they learn from this and make all the future seasons accessible to everyone as it should've been. They really shouldn't have been made solo either, I get that it plays into the storyline but the levels themselves scream teamwork. Besides kind of counterintuitive for an mmo.

Imo the grind is just tedious atm. What I like about Warframe resource grinding is that you have (most of the time) tons of missions and ways to grind resources to build stuff like forma and potato's. In TFD you are stuck doing the same missions over and over and over. I am so bored of grinding barrier deactivation for those stupid brains and sensors. Nor do I want to do the one dungeon to get my batteries. Let us grind stuff with more mission variety. Also, outposts are still garbage.

They should have made story accessible on normal mode. Bosses in invasions one shot you, even if you are at 70/70 with good mods. The puzzles are also unnecessary and annoying IMO. I think it centers around trying to get people to spend more money on activators and catalysts for people that can't grind that much. Quit playing until they maybe make the game more accessible for average players. Like Asmon said, if you make a game for the 1%, don't be surprised when they are the only ones playing your game. Sadly, I had high hopes but Nexon is Nexon.

So far I'm really enjoying the game. I'd love to see them make some of the areas more visually interesting. Just so that it doesn't feel like you're always fighting in a wasteland, but a different biome. I love the swamp and some of the other architecture you start to see mid-late campaign. Also, if possible, make the AI more intelligent. I think it would make the general missions more engaging, and the enemies won't be so predictable. Lean more into outfit and character customization, and making ways for it to be more accessible and without paying. Like separating existing armor pieces into different sections of the body or layer of clothing, and be able to add/remove/accessorize. I don't know as much about the more hardcore late-game experience, but I think that these might still make the game more interesting in other ways for people.

They need to fix outpost drops or add AM’s for certain weapons on hardmode bosses. All I have left is to max out every weapon however the thought of having to farm either an outpost with worse drop rates than the actual weapon part you need or a normal mode boss turns me away from doing them. For example kings guard lance farming 3 out of the 4 pieces are farmed from outposts where you can get 15/20 runs with a sharen and not get a single AM drop, only to finally get a bunch of them after an hour to then get the 6% drop rates is a sure fire way to turn some people away actually farming it.

I have unlocked 21 descendants (without paying for any of them). I have all of the Ultimate weapons apart from the Peacemaker because I haven't progressed past Frostwalker (I haven't even tried it as a solos player and I have little desire to). At the moment I'm logging on and doing the invasion missions to complete the seasonal challenge (I want to unlock as much from the Battle Supply Coin shop as I can). Then I farm mats for catalysts, collect any that have cooked and start researching the next one. That's it. I have 7+ catalysts on the 3 main descendants I use (Ultimates for Bunny, Valby and Gley) so I have no interest in levelling other descendants. Apart from Ultimate Freyna and her backstory and the utility companion there's little that excites me about the season update. I'm waiting to see the grind needed to unlock her. If it requires the new Colossus I may just walk away. The game needs to release content for all levels of player. Focussing on a new Colossus with complicated mechanics does nothing to retain the core player base.

Greg is fine but the vfx obfuscates the line of sight of anyone trying to hit weak spots. As long as no one brings a sub level40 descendant it's doable. I can say this as to where the game is right now; One of the last times that I played, I fell asleep in Albion, woke up 6 hours later and still hadn't been kicked for idling. Before the season 1 drop, I'd get kicked for idling in the time it took to go smoke a cigarette on my back porch which is connected directly to my "game room". I called this from the beginning. There will be a player spike to get ultimate Freyna. But if that grind is locked behind the new Colossus or anything like Hailey's grind, I'll bet that many won't even finish the grind or do it at all. The damage they did with season 1 and the lack of content that it provided has been pretty bad. It's gonna take a huge miracle to get players back. A new boss, a new reskinned character and difficulty tier are not gonna help. The Bunny problem needs to be addressed, the mobile game mechanics need to be dialed back, the battle passes need to be completely reworked, and the list goes on. Now that people are out of the honeymoon phase with this game, all the issues and problems that many of us have been bringing to light since day one are finally starting to be noticed. I enjoyed the game thoroughly for about 500 hours despite the huge problems. But the last 300 were enough to have me put the controller down and just walk away. The fact that there will be nothing even resembling a new piece of content until December is a very telling sign of how the future of this game will be. I don't think Nexon knew what they were getting into with this TFD. You can't just plagiarize two long standing franchises, add tits and ass, and expect the western market to be happy. Western culture is far different than the usual lonely Asian men that Nexon usually targets. You gotta have some meat and potatoes to go along with the dessert if you're gonna win us over. Western culture isn't as much of a sex deprived idiot group as the rest of the world has been led to believe. What we are starving for is a game or games that don't have politicized agendas shoved in our faces, games that have fun and enjoyable loops, and games that we feel some sort of reward for time invested. In the case of TFD, we need bigger maps in the "open world" sections, along with something to do in those sections other than using Enzo to open vaults. We need a reason to work with other players other than to ride the coat tails of others to the boss rooms or beat Colossi. The characters need to be able to synergize with each other because as it stands right now, outside of Colossi battles, who dealt damage first nullifies everyone else's damage. A trading system or vendor is definitely needed but I think we all know how horrible it's going to be with what I'm sure is going to be more forms of impossible grinded currency. Basically, if Nexon wants this game to survive, along with printing them some money, they need to move away, as far as they possibly can, from the turn based mobile game systems and mechanics that they've used for so long to fleece money from players for just as long. This is essentially asking a corporation to stop being so goddamned greedy and let their development team make a good game. Sadly, that won't happen in the near future and the game will take its final dying breaths before season 2 can even be announced.

@bobmalarkey4621Ай бұрын
@@TheAgentAssassin I enjoy being able to play the game with her as well, but I'm more of an AOE/support guy when it comes to games that have classes. The grind for her wasn't that difficult, as you said, but tedious and drawn out as long as possible to essentially force people to buy her (The mobile game tactics that I mentioned). Having to run the same missions again and again, upwards of over 200xs per individual mission, has left a lot of people burnt out, including myself. I was using the Hailey grind to level other characters and weapons, and now I could honestly careless about ever having to run missions again. It certainly doesn't bode well for the higher tier difficulty coming in October, because we've all run these missions a million times now. Just adding another tier to them is really no incentive for players to come back long term. This is all we're getting until December, and there's still just under 3 weeks for the Ultimate Freyna drop. The game cannot continue, or even stay relevant, if Nexon proceeds this way. Just like the game needs a major overhaul, their thinking and planning for TFD needs one as well.

Hundred percent agree TFD is very close to it's sink or swim moment, at least for me anyway. I clocked in 202 hours, mastery rank 16. I'm a Valby main (regular, haven't bothered to grind for the ult), have Sharen and Enzo set up to be able to participate in their respective mechanics/activities. Thanks to your videos and guides I consider myself quite well informed (at the same time the game is so bafflingly lacking in this respect). Must admit I succumbed to the FOMO hook and log in daily to do the activities, so as not to miss out on the kuiper and gold but it ocurred to me this should not be the reason making me log in - the game itself should. And after one or two hundred hours of casual playtime, the game has little to offer unfortunately, besides the mind-numbing pointless grind. Personally I wish it had more engaging core gameplay mechanics, like a perfect reload system (Gears of War had those), running slide to get into cover quicker or avoid damage, crouching in place to increase weapon accuracy/reduce recoil for those critical weak point spray-downs or receiving defence buffs, a working cover system, markers to designate the weak point for the team to focus on first, requesting/sharing ammo (how cool would it be if you could throw a mag of regular ammo to a team mate when their Thundercage runs dry?) and other ways for the player to meaningfully express themselves and interact with eachother within the game. This would at least make the grind a bit more interesting, engaging. Instead the player characters run around like fruit flies, stiff sprites jumping around, strafing wildly (the running animations lack any weight, momentum), spraying the boss enemy with their bullet hoses - this gets pretty stale pretty fast. I really hope Nexon is aware of all of these shortcomings as I think they have a great base to build upon but adding new bosses 80% of the playerbase won't even face is pointless and wont do anything for the longevity. Now that I typed out this rant - I'm feeling quite sceptical about the future of this game tbh. The invasions are so weaksauce and borderline insulting. I guess it's time to dig up something from the backlog.
