Real story: After finishing my military service, I took a job as a cattle rancher. The owner had no problem with me being inexperienced and taught me the basics of horse-riding. During one of the learning sessions i had trouble making the horse listen to me, instead of doing whatever he pleased. Seeing my frustration, my teacher taught me something I'll never forget: " He is not listening to you, because he can tell you are insecure. The commands you are giving him are too ambiguous and lack conviction, thus you dont give him the sense of assurance to trust you enough as his rider". At the moment I heard that, I realized I had lived for so long under an organization (Army) that scolds the horse instead of the rider. Since then, I aspire to give people under me a sense of assurance, rather than seeking it from others

This comment is unrelated to this video but I saw your clip on morality and cheating. I was cheated on by my long time gf. She was cheating on me with my best friend behind my back after meeting him for a month. All my friends knew about it and hid it from me. I was actually genuinely a good bf and I was so stunned I never would have imagined. When I confronted her she never even acknowledged it was wrong just said things like "you wouldn't understand" my best friends had no remorse either and my friends who knew told me "it wasn't my business so I didn't tell you" it amazes me how people will do such terribly disgusting things because they don't "feel" it is bad or because they feel fine doing it. Keep word being feel. It is horrible to do but they "feel" like it is justifiable.

i wasn't a horse person but i knew i was a dog person. i bought a property out west. it had a large backyard, i figured a horse couldn't be too much different to a dog. i was right. within a year i was riding that horse.i could sear it and stop and go. a harness, no saddle. it was basically one of my dogs but ride able. during parties He would steal tobacco and drinks. He would let the dogs sun bake on top of him. Loved that horse.

My first girlfriend was a rider . I took care of two of her horses after a while . (Rainy days ) (cold days) and most afternoons I’d clean the stalls and feed . But there was this old horse . Joe He was old and I was young . Green but I showed compassion. That horse never cantered . But after a while he let me learn how to canter and ride. He tossed me a couple times but I couldn’t get angry I felt stupid . But I think Joe respected the way in handled it . Walked him back to the stable . The next day was just me and him. I saddled up and we rode for almost an hour . He actually let me learn to canter. Best feeling in the world. Joes dead but this brought me back .

Brother, I have admired your videos for some time now, and as a poet and an old-school heart similar to yourself, I just wanted to pen a poem in your honor as a thank you gift. God bless. The Horseman A man bred from the common earth, with wisdom swelling like grapes on tender vine, has this era found a treasure of rarity and worth, like perspiration laving a bottle of aged wine. I feel the words of his heart assuaging my quaking bones, for there is yet hope in a crack of manufactured concrete, for then nature's light shall shine forth and take back her throne, and archaic life shall again be complete. A man betwixt the power of horses both wild and tamed, with teachings inflamed with passion beyond compare, for by his lessons shall your pride be pricked and mamed, if you but apply it within to mend and repair. Through the corridors of times have we seen such men come and go, be it men of grandmasters, pantomimes or renowned fame, but fewer be those with rudiments of prudence, intergrity and honor, as the horseman of red earth's flame. Within his soul are melodies heard of songs devoid of lunacy, like an owl perched on the cold branch beneath the moon, for he seeks not the limelight of the peacock but chants usefully as the quiet ballad of the lune. Please do learn of this humbled poet, for the benediction of his ways will touch thy anxious and busy mind, cease from the professionals who of love do not know it, and learn of the horseman of red earth prime. -A.K.George

I will pretend my father is the horse. We almost always argue 5 minutes after a talk. Which is why I don't talk to him much. But I've always said it has got to be a communication issue. He doesn't understand English grammar as I do I guess but I make fun of it and I tell him, "Why don't you understand English? You've been living in the United States for over 60 years! Far longer than I've been alive!" But, I know it's wrong to say. This is exactly what I needed to hear sir. Thank you for this talk. This helps me to remember it's also up to me to speak in a manner he can understand.

When you breed your own, ride your "keepers" forever and develop that relationship, you can tell what they are thinking, what they would be saying. I am in Australia. Tapestry was almost human. Out droving I'd got off for a few minutes. When I mounted she went about 5 paces and baulked. Huh? Camp's ahead, horses in camp, I'm dawdling on the tail. I dropped the reins, gave her a nudge, she turned back and stood over the stockwhip, which I'd not even noticed I'd forgotten to pick up. Another time she jumped off a trail, looking uphill, stopped. I let out a loud cooee, two mountain push bike riders came down braking hard. She baulked one day when I ducked my head to go through an underpass tunnel, clearly saying to me "This is not safe if I have to manoeuvre!" I agreed with her, she was ears up and going through before I ducked. We went topside and negotiated heavy traffic, Your horse is not credited with such thinking, but such becomes the relationship when you read them. And never forget, there is far more money about than horse sense. Money can buy horses and trainers, but horse sense? That comes from reading your horse.

You are a KZbin sensation now Dwayne!!! -- I don't think you need to worry -- People will still come to the school to learn from you in person, just to meet you, and have a 3D experience that KZbin just cannot replicate -- and these videos will promote and bring more people to your school for the full experience! I work in the internet marketing industry and this is what we have seen for years with popular channels that also have "physical" business locations. The channel doesn't "cannibalize" the physical "brick & mortar location" it actually promotes and exponentially amplifies the physical locations customer base -- and in your case it would be "wood and hay"...instead of "Brick n Mortar" ;) LOVE THIS CHANNEL!!

Dwayne is a passionate and adventurous entrepreneur who has always been fascinated by the great outdoors. He founded the Dry Creek Wrangler School in Tennessee, where he taught people from all over the world how to ride horses, herd cattle, and live like cowboys. Thanks to his unique teaching style and commitment to preserving Western values, Dwayne's school became a favorite among visitors and locals alike. Recently, Dwayne made the bold decision to move his entire operation to Wyoming, where he hopes to continue his mission of spreading cowboy culture and sharing his love for the land. As you can tell from the stunning landscape in his latest video, Dwayne's new location promises to be the perfect setting for his school, which will teach aspiring cowboys and cowgirls how to ride, rope, and live like real, authentic Westerners. If you're planning a trip to the West anytime soon, don't miss the chance to shake Dwayne's hand and experience the thrill of wrangling under his expert guidance. His school is sure to be a highlight of any Wyoming vacation, and you'll come away with great memories and a newfound appreciation for the Western way of life.

Dwayne, this was my favorite video. When I was a novice rider my instructor put me on a horse named Gypsy. A beautiful 1/2 Morgan mare. I communicated with this horse so well She knew what I was thinking and I knew what she was thinking. I LOVED this mare. She knew exactly what I wanted to do and sometimes she wanted to do something different. I was trail riding with my instructor. She decided to go into a full cantor with no warning. Gypsy thought ‘wow, this looks like fun’ so she took off. Instead of pulling back I just let her go and went with her rhythm. I knew what she wanted and I let her have her way. She loved being groomed and treated like a beautiful lady. She wanted me to have a couple carrots for her too, or she would step on my foot if I forgot them. It was so special having that experience. I’m older now and my riding days are gone. I was wondering if you had a similar experience and I can see that you certainly have. THANK YOU! God bless your work

This is exceptionally important and a rare conversation. Very rare when men take into consideration the cliches about holding feelings back etc. What’s more key is that you don’t insult us by outright saying this, but this is the heart of the tree in my opinion. Even those of us who actively communicate or work to do so with patience and empathy, miss the story and point of the big boss horse. It’s arrogant for us to hear something or acknowledge a communication on face value. We may be ignorantly forgetting we are unaware of our conversationalists entire language, let alone intent. Assume the best in all people and we all must slow down our conversational pace, to allow time to have more confidence that we are understanding the true message and trying to assure we understand it. That’s the first simple sign of mutual respect.

You're a good man and we need men with knowledge like you I'm almost 50 myself but with that being said I love the trees the rivers and lakes. You should see where I live in Washington State yeah it's grossly liberal but yeah it's a beautiful state it's so green.
