Dryer Vent Transition Kit Demonstration

I installed this kit tonight. Absolutely had to use the clamps it came with. I was confused but cutting the vent-out end 1" with aluminum cutting siccors, so I didn't. It fits nice, and way better than the dangerous paper foil crap Lowe's installed th dryer with, but it's a super cramped and strained fitting when pushed against the wall as far as I could safely go. Unfortunately, there is very little offset between the dryer vent and house vent-out. Made install awkward. You know what the recommended aluminum cut is recommended for? It was vauge in the poor instructions, to me.

My clothes are coming out shedding lint n fibers soon as I take thrm.out of dryer and they shed with any movement and it's a lot what would cause that

No hose clamp or duct tape around connections?

That is a three inch piece that fits snuggly to certain dryers between the elbow and the dryer. When the elbow is slipped on to the three in piece there are little flanges that stick out from the piece it will only come off if you depress the flanges using a screwdriver. A person could put a clamp on the small piece attached to the dryer if u wanted to for extra protection. You'd be surprised just how tight that piece actually fits...it does not come off easy. Fyi duct tape is not something you would ever want to use around heat...you would want to use HVAC foil tape made out of aluminum.

So, It Is Ok / Safe To Loop The Flex Hose Up, Like A Horse Shoe !! I Thought It Would Cause A "Lent Trap" !!!

The horseshoe is needed and does not restrict airflow....any shorter would not leave room for a person to get back there to attach it....also eventually something with get dropped behind there... with the setup the dryer can be moved forward and back without pulling it off the wall....the rotating elbows are the key. Without a wall box this is the professional way to do it.

Thats the way my set up looks but I don’t like it. I want it flush with the wall 😒

You could do that, but you would have to install what is called a dryer wall box (see google).....unfortunately they are a bit of a challenge to install after the fact...

Who would put a duct vent that low. Dumb
