Wouldn't this cause flash rusting ?

Good question, thanks for asking. The low battery signal made me panic and forget what I wanted to say, LOL. Because the tank had been Galvanized from the factory, there was very little rust inside to begin with. It was a pretty warm day and the air movement from the hot shop-vac dried the inside out rather quickly. I then soldered the holes closed, and put 1/2 gallon of gasoline and a 32 oz. bottle of Marvel Mystery Oil in the tank and rotated it and coated the inside with the mixture. A few days later the tank was installed and filled to capacity with gasoline.

@@w.w.2restorations.vehicles698 That’s awesome sir! Here in India, the fuel tanks come coated from factory but getting OE is a pain. Aftermarket ones are crap. We also don’t really have epoxy like POR-15 here so that’s a huge trouble. So even if we can clean up the rust, it re-appears just months later.

@@BrattyBiker Personally, I don't trust tank sealers. I have seen too many of them fail either from a lack of the ability to thoroughly clean the inside of a tank or the sealer product is just no good.
