G-506 1941, Farewell and Enjoy Your New Home.

To date, I have personally saved 5 of the wonderful trucks from the scrap metal recycler. I bought my 1st Chevy back in Dec. of 1995. The second one I found at an event in Central Calif. and helped Fort MacArthur Museum acquire it. I have the 3rd. 1942 truck that is my 'keeper' and then I saved the two that I found here in Wa. State. I have two friends back home in So. Cal. who have Chevy's as well, and I've helped a bit with them too. Man what a great party life is!! Too much fun to be had everyday!!

Glad to hear it's going to a good home. Even though you may have not finished it completely, it is always a great feeling knowing you have saved another one of these from the scrap heap.

2 Months ago i found out about the beauty of old WWII Trucks. been trying to get a CCKW since. Pretty exciting. even had a dream that i had one yesterday. hahah!

i buy alot of stuff in tucson at jacks govt surplus, he has acres of army surplus, vehicles, generators, tires, etc.
