I have prefilled all the corner bead seams butts and screws with durabond 90!
@sivacrom21 күн бұрын
I've used Durabond, too. I appreciate that she has a whole video on pre-filling. I've found it makes a big difference, too. And, if I was a pro, I'd probably use Easy Sand just in case I have to sand it down, and because you can buy it anywhere, and you *could* use it in other ways. Durabond... just pre-filling. I choose it because, in my experience, it's even a bit harder than Easy Sand. I'm the home owner. Only the best for me.

My wife and i are remodeling the house. Shes a 4'7" filipina. She takes almost everything away from me once i get her started. She just loves it. Great to see a lady doing it showing she can do it. Also saw a guy doing it i swear is probably some white collar guy that just would rather do drywall.

My daughter's house flooded in the new big addition from 2 hige rainstorms. I recently started using Easy Sand 45 for the first time (always used premix all purpose with the green lid). It took forever for the All purpose to set up, so that's why I went to easy sand 45 (learning products & what to use). I've found that easy sand 45 is actually harder to sand compared to All Purpose with the green lid. I've also noticed that anytime I've ever mixed up Easy sand 45, that it does stsry setting up in the bucket and pan...but it doesn't as fast once on the wall? It could sit there for 2-3 hrs and I still can't sand it. Why? Do you think it's because I'm adding too much water? I always mix it like a thicker buttery consistency. I always have to prefill alot and go back the next day to even continue to the next faze.

I go around and check what needs to be filled, draw a circle with a pencil around those areas, and then I mix and fill with the 20.

Is the lighting in this video camera lighting or the actual lighting you use on the job when you aren’t making content? What lighting do you use for taping only?

Must be a small job..one tray won't go far and clean up and mixing time adds up ..I wouldn't use a 20 I would use 90 minute then mix in a 5 gallon.....if you are cleaning over and over you will wastes a half a day ..and if that's Tha case just use ready mix...plus every mud needs to cure because shrinkage does occur as the mud drys .. waste of time if you ask me ..I want that paper tape to hug that gap and not be pushed out from the bed coat .so my top can be finished in 2 coats 😂...I shouldn't have to run my hand over and feel a paper edge or a lump that you can't sand without ruffing up the paper.... ps always use clean water to mix because used water from cleaning the pan will turn 20 min. Mud into 10 min. or less do to the extra hardening agents added from the old water..

Butcher job hanging boards….
@Bennysol25 күн бұрын
I've always been perfect at hanging boards and taping with 1st coat of mud. I've never been a good finisher
@MIGHTYX2010Ай бұрын
So you turned your flats into butt joints. 😮 It's weird because you definitely know how to fling mud but you mix in a pan strange. I guess there's more than one way to skin a cat. You get the job done but there's a more efficient way of mixing in a pan. Although it would be a pain to do all your taping with hot mud but hot mud is actually better to tape with because it does not shrink and it does dry harder because of the additives. All in all good video. - When I prefill flats I pretty much use a 2-inch blade and try my hardest to keep it a flat and not turn it into a butt 😂
