This is pretty much exactly how I would do an imperfect smooth. I’ve been a drywall finisher since 03, joined the union in 08.

Beautiful work shorty. They call that skip trowel here in New Mexico . I use a 18" knockdown knife with longer handle and 18" pan . Covers more space fewer wipes

We had our home refloated with old world/imperfect smooth 10 years ago and still love it. But now time to fix a few cracks here and there. Didn't get a chance to watch drywall crew texture back then so this video is a huge help to get an idea of how I can match it up. Thanks!

Nice to see women in the trade. Back when I started in 84 there was only one young lady that I seen doing finish work and never saw any hang rock. Now after two major back surgeries I kinda wish I would of picked a lighter trade. ...the 5/8 12' can get heavy after a while

I like the look you achieved. How would you handle a bullnose corner?
@DrywallShorty2 жыл бұрын
I leave the bullnose clean. Texture up to it then sand the radius clean after texture.

How do you do the imperfect texture on rounded corners?
@norcaltimcaldwell33252 жыл бұрын
U still do it the same way, the only difference is, after u apply all your mud, u come back with a tool that specifically for cleaning bullnose corners. After u wipe the bullnose corners, there will still be a little bit of mud on them that u come back and sand with a spongey sanding block after the mud drys
