(1967) Elizabeth gives Willie 500$ so he would leave Collinwood. Willie is fascinated by the jewels in Barnabas' portrait. Check out the about section on my channel for more DS episodes, links, and info.

Oh, David. He sure knows how to pick his friends; first Burke, then Matthew, then Laura, and now Willie. Great judge of character, him.

Hello! Just wanted to drop in and say thank you soo much for putting these up! I have been wanting to watch them for years and finally got to this summer! I was just wondering when you will be putting more up on your channel! Hulu does not have all of them and I would really hate to skip through seasons and not know where I am! Please let me know!
@CyanBlackflower9 жыл бұрын
Cassie Braun I'll second or third that comment ! [except I have not "skipped" a single ep to Date. one could skip a few though, and still pick it up.]

$1000 in 1967 is $7,100 today (Willie's going away price).$500 in 1967 is $3,600 today (Willies final going away price). $15,000 in 1967 is $107,000 today. (Roger's "hush" money paid to Sam Evans).

Karlen definitely brings more depth to Willie and will continue to do so. I do miss the first one though; his creep factor was off the charts.

Was that the same Abigail Collins who was NEVER married, and who got frightened to death when she saw Barnabas emerge from his coffin?
@CyanBlackflower9 жыл бұрын
atlantic 11561 Good question...I think it is...there seems to be a lot of "reincarnation" going on here on this show. [History repeats & Something NEVER change LOL!!
@atlantic-yq2wr9 жыл бұрын
Cyan Blackflower Well, David mentioned once that ABIGAIL was buried with her jewels, but in all other accounts on DS, it was NAOMI (the mother of Barnabas and Sarah). Nevertheless, only DS could get away with such inconsistencies!
@MrMaxismybaby9 жыл бұрын
+atlantic 11561 I thought Abigail was a poor relation. She didn't have any jewels, in the later episodes.
@atlantic-yq2wr9 жыл бұрын
MrMaxismybaby Yup, another DS inconsistency. In the early episodes, she was this "femme fatale" who aroused the interest of a rich and swashbuckling pirate who in turn showered lavish gifts upon her, including jewels. And it was SHE who supposedly was buried while wearing all the precious gems. In the 1795 sequence, she was a plain looking and impoverished spinster.

Sort of a take from Poe's "The Tell Tale Heart" in the final scene. But I am not certain about what is going on at this point. Barnabas is obviously lying inside his coffin, and since it is daytime, he must be asleep. So, is he consciously luring/targeting Willie? How can he be doing that if he is asleep? Also, when it is night time, does that mean he has been lying awake in his coffin all those years? Or is he in a permanent sleep state until someone opens the coffin? Gaaaaaaa!!!!!
@Bigbadwhitecracker6 жыл бұрын
Yeah, especially since Barnabas hasn't been out of his coffin in 200 years or so.

This is unbelievable. Stretching my like for this area of the show almost to breaking point. Now don't get me wrong here. I love the show, I just get into it and carried away with it, the same way as an avid sports fan goes crazy over his favourite teams.[I'd watch DS over most any sports any time !!] ... Vickie's prologue? Violence? Man & man? More like man and punk kid. That is not violence. That was a minor scuffle and punk got well deserved "Bitch Slap" I'm not saying that is what punk deserves, no. I'm saying he deserved it. Meaning the action taken against him and those with similar abusive & invasive attitudes, must ideally be total and final, to avoid further, future incursions. But most annoying to me is the dialogue between most of the characters most of the time, soaked in subterfuge, evasion, & pure absurd Stupidity to the point of ridiculous. The first 75 eps contained the words "Are you sure?" so many times - as many as 10 per ep, I thought I should go stark raving "Batshit" Only Bourke, Maggie, her dad, and sometimes little David seem to have "some" immunity in their script. Even though I dislike the Character "Willie" he is at least "Clear", the role is played very well, by both actors, I thought [Why I hate him!!] what you see is what you get! Speaking of Willie, the "Willies" is just what I get from Barnabas' portrait. I hope old Barnie comes to life and chews Willies neck "like a Wrigglies".

Was watching last night when that portrait's eyes started widening. Scared me to much, to watch at night! Had to stop watching. And, that "boom, boom..." heartbeat that accompanies it...
