Side by Side on the Kaitsukity is if you want to view the left and right eye images separately. I imagine this would aide in the production of 3D videos since anaglyph has the red and blue fliters over it. Niche for sure but honestly pretty useful if you did want to make a 3D video. Most of the options in that software are like that. I either use them myself or see use cases for them, so I do disagree with the options being useless, they're just somewhat niche. My only issue is that the nearest neighbor filtering is only available up to x3. I use a 4K display so that's fairly small still. Dunno why it's not available under the regular filtering options.

Hey I got a Katsukity capture card but it has like a two second audio delay. Any suggestions? I’m using a 3DS LL. I usually use other software to sync the audio up, but that becomes a chore

Hmm it might be the usb port or the hub that it’s on if you have a lot of usb connected, though the video would probably be having issues as well. The other thing you could do would just be wiring it up with aux to an aux in port and use that, that’s what I use for the loopy ds original since they don’t have audio over the usb.

the problem for me when I use cute capture is that if I open more then one tab on Mac it freezes after a couple minutes. Please help! Any solution for this?

How old is the Mac? It might be software/hardware related. Also have you tried different usb cables?

@JakeKeepsCatching yeah I would try different ones. Also remember cute capture is older and finicky so it could just be that. Been a bit since I’ve tested it. Wondering if recent Mac OS updates could have made it more unstable.

If I have one 3DS with Loopy and another with Optimize, can I use both on screen at the same time? I have one 3DS with Loopy and the other was sent out to get optimize installed as getting a Loopy card installed on the other console was just so expensive :,)

Yep you should be able to. Just might have to play with which usb you use since sometimes optimize is weird with how it interacts with other usbs plugged in next to each other if they’re on the same usb hub on the motherboard or pc case.

@@chibi4dminokay, that’s a relief! Thanks for the help! I’m VERY new to all this and I’m still very unsure about everything. I don’t know how to make those neat templates shiny hunters use for their videos, or to stream my desktop, etc. this is all still pretty confusing ngl :,)

Yeah the templates are kinda just a play around kind of thing in OBS unless you hire someone to make something. But I wouldn’t worry about that too much and just try setting up something simple and just start streaming. Let me know if you have any other questions I usually try to respond when I can.

Chibi4dmin does the audio with the Optimize capture card ever crackle or have issues period when you use the capture software settings for the audio? I ask because I have one for the New Nintendo 3DS XL and whenever I use the audio settings in the capture software, I get popping on occasions, one time I even got audio repeating a segment of the game music but proceeding normal, some games have a slight buzzing with the music too, though this doesn't apply to every game. Asking around I never get a response, so I can't tell if it's a hardware issue or a software issue.

Never really had any issue with optimize audio. I haven’t had time yet to see about the new 3DS xl but I’ll get that hooked up sometime and see if I have any issues and let you know

@@chibi4dmin that's loopy's capture card stuff, Optimize/Katsukity's uses it's own drivers, which I already have theirs installed from the respective New 3DS capture software zip file.

Ah I thought you were talking about loopys new 3DS xl. I only have optimize one for original 3DS xl. Not sure about the the problems your having with the new 3DS xl for optimize.

@@chibi4dmin would you mind testing your old 3DS optimize capture software. I know the models may vary, but any information is better than none in my opinion. I personally did three recordings of just the Metroid Samus Returns title screen music to test with, all three seem to have different popping locations throughout the audio tracks respectively. You won't hear them unless you boost the volume enough. Minecraft is a game that suffers the most from weird buzzing with its title screen music, since you use an old 3DS however, you couldn't run that game on your system.

How do you even get it to work? I just bought one with a pre-installed capture card and after downloading everything, all I get is a black screen. I have windows 10 on my laptop and I know my USB ports work, I tested them with a different device altogether. But when I plug in the 3DS, nothing.

​@Chibi4dmin I have the Loopy original 3DS. I've tried digging on the forums but all I've seen is people saying once they upgraded to Windows 10, they started having issues. I tried every video setting in the application as well but to no avail

Have you downloaded the drivers he has? Also have you tried multiple usb cables?

Otherwise I would email loopy and see if he will fix it if it’s something with the board.

Loopy by far, optimize works ok and has more options in the software but loopy is more dependable. I’ve had more issues with freezing and having to run optimize on different usb ports/hubs to get it to work.

You’ll need the product key entered and make sure you’ve got a working usb cable that’s what was wrong with mine at first. Try different usbs on your computer as well.

@pokemontrainerbranden3277 Might be the wiring then. Did you buy it used? If someone installed it I would have them fix it. tbh while I do have the one optimize capture card I wouldn’t recommend them. They’re usually pretty flaky and unless you’re good with soldering and electronics it’s better to go with loopy cards as he is able to fix them. Not sure if optimize has a help contact somewhere on the site I would look for that but they’ll probably charge a good amount if they can fix due to being overseas usually.

So on the fat ds original loopys you need to plug it into an aux port microphone so aux to aux. then you can either output via obs or probably in sound settings.

@@chibi4dminI tried that myself and it didn’t work. A headset mic splitter that I have not only failed, it also didn’t pick up my headset mic at all. Every cheaper option I tried also failed. My last option is an audio interface but I don’t wanna spend well over $200 just to find out that failed too

how did you get the optimize and loopy card running at the same time? My optimize one says "no valid data"

You may need to switch to a different usb port. If you’re on a desktop have one be plugged into the back motherboard usb and the other one in the front panel. That way they’ll be on 2 different usb hubs. Something about having them both plugged into the same hub they don’t play nice together
