Don't really get why there are dislikes to these videos? It's a chance for us to get a look into the mind of a musician at the top of his game. If you are a musician it's a gold mine of ideas and inspiration. What's to dislike!

Totally agree I mean the playing them sounds this is so inspiring what is there not to like about it. Trolls love the internet because they can hide behind it.
@RoomAtTheTopStudio4 жыл бұрын
@Tyrone Richard Philgence you have a normal logical thinking mind. Those who dislike this video are people who are envious and haven't got what Matt has and aren't as good as he is. No one hates on someone who isn't as good as they are, only on people who are better. Matt probably doesn't pay them any mind as he knows this too.

New SEM’s i guess. The old ones sound very different. Also a montage may sound analog in the mid and top end but not the low end. My $100 K2000 is the same. Still hunting for SEM poly with patch memory 😉 Should have bought it when it was offered cheap. But my knowledge wasn’t on par. Still hate myself for that. Hahaha

Spot on assessment I sold the P6 for the OB module and the OB has blown me away, it has such a signature sound that is in so many film scores , esp sci fi the prophet 6 sounds awesome but I already have other analog gear and found that I didn’t need it as much and I wanted that OB signature sound, I think it’s best synth brass it’s the standard for that ....among other things ....the you tube videos dont do it full justice.....thx for your posts you encouraged me to try it .....

Matt A exquisite demonstration as we have come to expect from you no matter what the product. Your refined ear and feel always bring out the absolute best an instrument can produce and in a useful, musical and informative way. To my way of thinking people focus way to much on the power and specs of synths. Take a Minimoog on paper its specs are nothing compared to gear a third its price but there are few more musical more magical or more useful. In short, it has a unique character like the Oberheim State Variable filter does no mat what oscillator you run into it. You are correct the Prophet 6 and Rev 2 are incredibly versatile but the OB 6 has a unique character that evokes an instant emotional response. Not that the others don't but its just that bit special.
