Wow we just put a tiny (approx 3 ish feet x 10’) bathroom in my Moms taken from a bedroom. We put the toilet and shower at opposite ends and the sink and door in the middle. We used huge sand colored marble look tile, sand look for the walls with texture and floor tile that looks like wood with a minimalist glass shower partition. The sink is a wood look small floating cabinet. The ceiling has small round lights, we still need some accent lights, mirror, and hidden storage. I watched your other videos before we did this work. Checked all the boxes so far! TYSM! You have awesome ideas. And we stayed in a small budget!

Some great ideas as we design our small bathroom space. One thing I never understood is open shelving. It might be considered minimalist as a design piece, but to maintain, open shelving is definitely not minimalist. Anything that sits out is prone to dust. And that is multiplied in a bathroom with moisture added. Everything behind cupboard doors for me. Glass cabinets if I want to have display

I have to wonder how accessible towels are that are stored at 7 feet above the floor. Only for people who are basketball pros.
@annking1576Ай бұрын
@sherrywallis7718. How high is your ceiling? Watch tiny homes - not sure which 1 but they do ceiling drop down storage drawers. Even if you rent you could put in a free standing frame of 2x4s & some attached going across & attach the drawers to them to support the weight. The drawers pull down - so would be good for towels, linens. Or have larger/deeper drawers with dividers/ slots cut to hold specific sizes of sealed/ unopened containers - maybe with elastic across them.

Excellent advice. I am renovating an apartment in southern Italy. 🇮🇹 it is a clean slate to do whatever I desire.. My architect has enlarged the bathroom and we are discussing the floor plan for the fixtures. I am thinking forward to how I want to place storage and shelves for function and aesthetics . It is exciting and somewhat daunting at the same time. I appreciate your guidance.

@chinwenwabuoku5402. Amazon has a ton of rugs. Believe I saw a gradient grey which would go with the marble - unless you want a pop of color - or maybe a Monet rug & shower curtain.

I was advised by my contractor to use 60cm x 30cm floor tile to help with water drainage. I wanted 60cm by 60cm wall tile but I see more bathroom of my size using 60x30 wall tiles being lay horizontally. Do you think using 60by60 for the wall is a bad move?

I just subscribed to your channel as you have a way of simplifying things for folks. I've got some great tips from your channel and I'm renovating my kitchen and master bathroom. I have a question and perhaps you can help me. I live in a condo and my master is small only 8x6'. My GC will be doing a walk in shower with no curb and a full length niche. So that will be my feature wall with polished porcelain tile. I'm thinking of taking the vanity (36" vanity) backsplash all the way to the ceiling with tile. The issue . . . my toilet is on the same wall as the vanity and if I tile behind it, it will force me to always buy a 10 inch rough toilet moving forward, and choices are much more limited that a 12 inch toilet. So here's my question . . . from a designer's perspective, will it look weird to have tile to the wall only behind the vanity if there is no wall separation between vanity and toilet? Appreciate any advice on this!

Just wondering if we are talking about small bathrooms, how I can apply the tips related to hidden compartments or glass partition for example - they take some space and the bathroom is getting even smaller! I have to build one with limited space and I cannot use 80% of the advice. The video is great, just the title should be - general ideas, not small bathrooms ideas
@annking1576Ай бұрын
@elenagadzhanova2305. Shelf above door. OR Instead of glass partition - Add 4" -5" wide partition between tub & toilet - 1 wall pulls out on wheels to reveal storage - 1st section for 10 +/- TP resting on shelf that is angled backward so TP won't fall out or a sliding cover to keep them in place. Next is 2 rows of clean towels on Command hooks. Bottom of wall has built in shelf with bar across at 3-4" up to hold bottles of body wash, cleaning supplies. At very back 1 ft has separation wall for Swiffer mop. plunger & bowl cleaner.
