Glen Campbell sings “Jesus and Me" for his church family

On New years Eve, 1989, Glen Campbell sang in his church's Evening Service, and introduced a new song, "Jesus and Me." I directed this live for Phoenix LPTV station Channel 39. This is a great video to see Glen talk about his spiritual life.

I was there. What a blessing. Boy do I miss that church and Pastor Jackson. Pastor Jackson always preached the Gospel and gave an invitation. I have seen services where 50 people walked the aisle to give their hearts to Jesus.

On Thursday, February 9th, my step-father planted 6 rose plants during the day. While relaxing with friends that afternoon, one of them mentioned that he husband had passed in his sleep. My step-father said that was how he prayed he would go. In his sleep, no pain or suffering. That night, at 1:00 Friday morning, his prayer was answered. He was 73 years old. They lived in Phoenix. My mother still does. Maybe Phoenix extra prayer amplifying power :)

We laid hand on her and prayed and she lived for two or more years, clearheaded, active and went to her reward quite peacably. As others have said, as a Christian I am filled with Joy at Glenn's testimony. I as well have been a fan since the 1960's with "By The Time I Get To Phoenix", "Wichita Lineman" and the wonderful "Southern Nights" and others. Many people don't know that Glenn was a guitarist/stand-in for The Beach Boys during their prime both in the studio and Live.
