No more dementia. No more strokes. No more congestive heart failure. No more cancer. No more sin. No more death. No more depression. No more suicide. No more natural calamities like earthquakes, tornadoes, hurricanes, floods or tsunamis. How people can not be moved to lift their hands and heart in worship and praise to Jesus as they hear this worship song is beyond my understanding. The scriptures say that God is enthroned upon the praises of His people! You want to experience the presence of God then start to worship HIM and GET INVOLVED!

True but I prefer to use the words praise and exalt. Worship means bow down which we obviously should also do.

This is the only song of his I love, he was saved around the same time I was, a little before and I heard this song and thought doesn't he do country music. Well I was so joyful to find out he was saved also and then I heard this song. I fell in love with it, thank you Lord for Glen Campbell! Haggie, I was there. I once took a out of state visitor to a Easter service with our 300 member choir and Pastor Jackson Preaching. After the service my guest rose from her seat with tears in her eyes and said , "Oh dear I should have been charged admission to get in here." It was that good.

Its about Jesus, no one else. That's who Glen was worshiping in song. When you see the intensity of joy on Glen's face and lifting up his voice know for certain that he's in the presence of God, the Lord of the universe!

God loves to hear the sound of our voice in heartfelt praise and worship and adoration to Him, for who He is, for what He has done in the past, what He is doing in the present, and for what He will do in the future. You can worship Him anywhere, any time, in any situation. He is the One and Only true God and is totally worthy of our praise and adoration. Get involved in doing this and you will experience His Person and His Presence. Nothing else in this life compares to being in the presence of God! "Enter His gates with Thanksgiving and His courts with Praise" ~Psalm 100:4

Not only was Glen one of the finest guitar players of all time, & not only was his voice smoother than butter cream, but after his Christian conversion, he had a way about him that was ... divine, peaceful, happy, satisfied. Calm, cool, & thankful to be alive. He was a true hero.

I just found out that someone near to my heart has just passed. I have sung this song many times including at my own husbands’ Memorial and always considered it our anthem. It just occurred to me why I always felt so familiar with it- this dear lady who left us had also loved it so many years ago when she played it and prayed it over me many years ago and 1300 miles away . I so wanted to go back there for her to see me 38 years sober and still loving the Lord…I’ll have to thank her from here for now…

@carolmiller26407 жыл бұрын
Because people do not appreciate someone else receiving the limelight. Makes them jealous & angry so they try to bring everyone else down with them. I see this as the norm no matter what site I'm on. Sad!! If they only realized how happy they could be..... if they just appreciated & applauded the great talent of these dear people. Churches always do receive lots of negatives. People always see the flaws in others & not themselves. Makes them feel better!

Glen had a great voice, but it wasn't suited for this song. He can't hit the high notes and extended power notes like David Phelps and Jordan Smith can. (The Kentucky Jordan Smith, not the California one.)

One of Glen's best. To me, Phelps' highs are way overdone. The stuttered highs are done more to try to display ability than to just sing a song. Phelps cannot touch the spirit of Glen Campbell on this song. Sorry, not a fan of Phelps, lucyjune.
