Honestly, this may be one of my favorite videos of all time as a viewer. I'm getting the same feeling I got when I watched 'Basically... Survive!' from recent months, but it's more like the feeling I got when I first watched your old video: 'Fire From The Sky'. This vid has such an awesome perspective on a mission with a noticeable amount of moving parts. There's a multitude of 'edge-of-your-seat' moments and quite a few laughs. It's also so cool watching everyone involved have fun and working together in such intense circumstances. In short, the vid was tense, epic, and flat out fun to watch. Just wow! :D

Man, Dslyecxi... This was absolutely beautiful. I actually had to clap a bit at the end. The most amazing mission by far, and I think also a testament to what ShackTac has grown to become. So many moments in this were so intense just from a viewer perspective, let alone actually being in the thick of it. And to top it off, the comic relief every now and then was perfect. The phenomenal desperate rescue attempt. The, funnily enough, barely contained terror in the voices of Delta. The audible tension from you and Crane, the glimpses of flashes and sparks and tracers in that patch of trees. I actually exclaimed "Noooooooo!" when you got FF'ed. That sucked, but it was so hectic, and as you said, cinematic. Oh, man. Then the amazing knife-fight-in-a-phone-booth dogfights, and your A-10 kill freakin' instantly turning into regret upon it plowing into Delta's broad area. Wow, man, just wow. Not to mention I was watching and biting my nails so to speak, and then suddenly there was this brief exchange with FAC and Bravo I think, culminating into Bravo Lead's "Bravo has been hiding for the past half hour" which made me burst into laughter momentarily, after so much tension. I actually felt relieved at the end, and I was just watching! Sorry for the long-winded comment, man, but many thanks to you and ShackTac for the effort that goes into this. The past stint of helicopter and tank videos was right up my alley, but this was the cherry on top. Can't say I'm not a tiny bit envious! My congratulations, it was awesome.

This was an incredibly cinematic mission. I wonder how different it would have been without someone from Air being arma'd every 30 minutes or so, but without at least some of those failures, you wouldn't have gotten such amazing shots. It certainly would have been much worse if you, crane, and potentially delta made it on big bird after you ejected, only to faceplant immediately upon takeoff. Plus you got to take on the A10 and get real cozy with Delta.The stress and excitement was certainly visible by the end with you holding high on crane's atgm shots. Huge props to the mission designer(s) and Zeus for this one. I would love to see a continuation with you guys immediately having to turn and face a counter attack from over the river, or push/pursue over the river yourselves.

Loving the PiP Dslyecxi. From the general flying through your perspective, to moving to Cranes whenever she fires allows us to see if those quickdraws are really quickdraws :P. Good Shit. Another thing im loving about this though. Whenever you play as US, and you see all these BTR's, T-34's, 55's and 80's you dont seem to stress as much. As soon as your playing OPFOR against BLUFOR, A single Bradley and a single Abrams freaks everyone the hell out. Oh and the general Cobra just flying.

Watching the afterburner glow of that SU-34 trailing those A-10s is so incredibly cool to watch. I love this vid so much, can't believe I hadn't seen it sooner. I'm jealous of how much fun that scenario must have been. I know this one is older, but thank you for making these.
@ThatMattyGuy7 жыл бұрын
At first I did not like the PiP, but after a few minutes I started to really enjoy it and then I was sad when it was gone for that longshot, and happy when it was back again. To say the least its been a rollercoaster of emotions. Also that extract with Delta was awesome, except when they first dismounted(32:50) , it looked like lemmings and made me lol. Also, she totally called it, marking extract with red smoke xD Awesome training exercise, shame Russian gaming technology isn't so stable.
@dslyecxi7 жыл бұрын
The non-PiP version is easy enough to render that if anyone wants to see it, it's easy to create it (like with this one). The non-PiP one is more accurate to what the scenario was like from my perspective, since I wasn't able to look at the actual in-game gunner MFD most of the time, but I figured this version would be more entertaining for people so I listed it instead.

having multiple perspektives always is great for me. i'm in the fortunate situation to have 2 big monitors and a good connection to play 2 videos at a time so every now and then i sync some videos up for myselfs. it would've been great to have both povs seperated for this one but i understand that this is fairly difficult to pull of and it probably isn't worth for the few people like me. i take whatever you decide to put into it. this is a nice change and if further opportunities arise to have something similiar, i'd gladly like to see it ;)

I mean this as a sincere compliment: as awesome as other videos are (being total badass), being this ineffective (for the most part) made for an extremely riveting and engaging experience with the high points that much greater (such as taking out the A10)! so many epic moments! and that poor fac with the identity crisis: hillarious! PiP is a great addition as well! I enjoy all of your content, but this was definitely a cut above! 11/10, will watch again and recommend to a friend :)

Bad for you, good for us. When you get shot down and survive, it's one of the best things that can happen to me, as a viewer. I remember you and CHKilroy being downed in an Apache, coming down right next to a friendly element, being repaired and getting back up again... and that other video, where you and your co-pilot were trying to repair an Apache at night surrounded by tanks and A-10s doing guns runs. Epic! And THIS? How quickly that rescue mission excalates... man! There's just SO MANY things happening in this. A little thing I noticed: @ 38:21 great example of why you pass behind others. @Dslyecxi, from experiences as gunner when in attack birds (seems to be with both vanilla and modded), when the pilot turns up their view distance, the gunners monitors/gun sight view becomes very shaky/jittery, most noticeable when the pilot uses auto hover. For whatever reason this lowers the frame rate of the gunners cam. The easiest fix I have found was to lower view distance/object to allow for the gunner to have a higher frame rate when in the sight. Hope this makes sense and helps.
