Crane's MPAT ammo load out, while accidental, was the right call for BRDM's and BMP's as it is a HEAT round, which is preferred for light armor.

QUESTION! Why does the 240 seem to have a variable rate of fire?

Your ROF in Arma is based on your FPS... So, when you start to drop FPS you lose ROF. It may also be linked to the server's FPS (virtual) as it can only update so much info. Sad thing is that given how great of a gaming machine he has it still lowers his ROF... *sigh*

in real life the 240 does have three variable rates of fires.

Besides OFP like he said, the stock campaigns are mostly lackluster imo, Arma2 with the recon marines was ok, though Arma 3's east wind campaign was the first where I didn't need really skip missions theres a really cool OFP recreation mod for arma 3, down to the music and everything. Really cool to replay it, that campaign had a lot of character

i cant seem to see how you are getting the fps you are getting i have an i7-7770k and a 1080 16gbs ddr4 and cant get this game to run really good what specs /settings are you running?

You can't really tell the FPS by watching a youtube video. Especially when it is 30 FPS. You have pretty much the best hardware there is for Arma 3. You should have around 50-60 FPS on populated servers. Maybe even slightly lower. A lot of people with weaker systems play at 30 FPS.

Also make sure not to use a greater view distance than 2 km (with exeption for when using vehicles)

i have it on auto detect for the most part with a 3800 view distance and most stuff on ultra with aa/pp and such i get around 30-40 in a 90+populated server for the most part

How come these guys prefer playing PvE instead of PvP? The enemies just seem so dumb. Like the initial engagement are a bunch of old BMPs, BTRs, and a ZPU truck trying to fight a bunch of M1A2SEPs? That's complete suicide, and any armour crew with the slightest training should know that. They could at least attempt to run instead of being a turkey shoot. Or at 49:30, this RPG gunner runs right out in front on the Abrams instead of you know.. shooting it in the rear/side from the woods that it wasn't looking at. Then like a minute later a BTR just drives head on into an Abrams. Honestly just wondering, not saying playing a game like this is stupid or a waste of time, this looks really fun, but, why not PvP?

PvE gives larger-scale experiences that are more engaging for more people, using larger varieties of assets in a way that PvP can't replicate. No other games can come close to offering Arma's PvE experience, whereas you can get fun PvP from plenty of other games already. Arma's PvP can be entertaining, but PvE is generally more satisfying and memorable for more people on average.
