for remasters i usually just need it to run well and, depending on game, add some qol stuff (like how nocturne remaster added manual skill picking on fusion) im easy to please with remasters. with games in general it just needs to be fun. be fun and if it has a story it needs to be entertaining. but fun gameplay is more important to me since if the story is bad you can still make fun of it but if gameplay is bad you have a miserable time
