Just in case some viewers don't know certain baseball rules: 7:00 If a ball is hit and caught in the air (a fly out,) then any runners must touch the base where they started before they can consider trying to move forward. If they don't, the defence can put the runner out simply by having a ball-holder touch that base. This is what happened to DSP here: he had to go back to first, even though he'd passed *second* before the catch was made. He did not, and the resulting out was indeed on him. (In reality, a typical runner won't even go halfway to the next base if there's a chance that the ball will be caught casually, unless the side already has two outs because then it doesn't matter because the third out ends the side's batting turn.) 12:30 -ish: When a batter is running toward first base only, he's allowed to run beyond first in order to slow down; the defence cannot put him out during this overrun. However, this does not apply if the batter turns left to move toward second base - which is what put DSP out there even though he thought himself safe.
