Fun fact: Each second in this video/game is 30 frames, So when Phil complains that he reached the checkpoint but "The game didn't register it, you can use period key to move the video forward 1 frame at a time (Comma is back 1 frame) and see exactly which frame the time ran out on. (spoiler: He's off by 2 cars lengths in all of them)

The best is that there's no bottom to the barrel he's in, he can always find a way to go lower, the best one I saw recently was he couldn't beat Lightning Returns on his stream, so he brought up KZbin and streamed somebody else's video so that everyone could see the ending. But then he decided he actually wanted to see the ending legitimately (and he also didn't put that part of the stream on KZbin, so his fans there didn't see the ending yet), so he tried beating the final boss again, and after failing a lot, gave up and told his fans to just go to other channels to watch their video to see the ending. He's incredible, and I just can't stop watching this kind of content.

This is not a new concept in racing games. When there are 2 cars occuping each lane, simply aim for the space between them. It requires skill, but 9/10 times it is perfectly doable. Alternatively, you can try going around them too. I wonder is this e-beggar disgrace is aware that in real life, on a road, more than 2 cars fit in a 2 lane street like the ones depicted in game.

kiraina25 it looks as though he crossed the Finish Line at the exact moment the value updated to 0 seconds. This probably triggered both a win condition and a lose condition simultaneously. Because of that win condition being activated, it immediately wiped out his retrys. The game then ultimately decides which condition to choose since there can only be one. Devs probably defaulted it to the losing one for the sake of preventing players to make saves with weird situations like these in them that may affect the game in the future. DSPs timing was perfect. The odds of crossing the finish line trigger on the exact frame the timer triggers a loss has got to be so tiny. So tiny that the devs didn't get it to happen in testing or didn't see a need to devote time to it over other things to address it.

Given the objective of the stage is to "make up time", perhaps he just didn't make up enough time and the game said "nope" the first time. I can't explain why exactly I think this way, but the first time he cleared, it was 11 min 28 sec, and the second time which counted was 3 seconds less than that. So I can't really say.

Is it me or he can't actually properly operate the throttle and brakes? As far as I remember in those NFS on Frostbite engine you're supposed to break, then immidiately push on the throttle to start drifting and smoothly take the corner. He randomly lets off the throttle at the weirdest moments
