simplified explanation for the purple crystal warp: Setup: rest at Lord Vessel, equip Crystal, Estus, and Homeward Bone weapon in right hand unequiped In Unison: press X (use Crystal Item) left stick up (walk Forward) right arrow (pull out right weapon) down arrow (switch item to Estus Flask) mash X (use item Estus/Crystal) once glowing: down arrow (switch item to Homeward Bone) mash X and A (use and accept warp)

Great tips, just got my first wrong warp. What really helped was recording my attempts with a input display and going frame by frame. Turns out I was pressing up on the d-pad late.

You might not be resting at the bonfire in the Parish in time as you're being warped.

I've got the gold hands multiple times but I'm consistently spawning at the undead parish bonfire even though my lasted rested bonfire was the kiln bonfire.

If you rest at the Parish bonfire at any point, your warp location will be set there. Also, if you successfully wrong warp and then die before killing Gwyn, your warp location will also be at the Parish bonfire. In either case, you'll need to return to the Kiln and rest at it again before attempting to perform the wrong warp again.

@@splee5556 I figured out I was too far down the railing and was resting at the bonfire too early after casting homeward. After adjusting I now rest pretty much as the loading screen appears and it successfully warps.

When I do this I dont end up warping. I'm on the ledge, I get the inputs right which causes me to get the yellow glowing hands but then I dont end up warping. What am I doing wrong?

If you fall off the ledge before the force animation completes, it interrupts the spell and you won't end up warping. You might be slightly too close the edge when you're casting the spell, or a bit too far down the railing.

i accidentaly wrong warped to the kiln of the first flame after using a homeward bone do you think i could undo that its all bosses but i don't wanna kill gywn then go into ng+ because its item randomizer and enemy randomizer its really hard

You should be able to get back to the last bonfire you rested at by warping again.

How do you hit the ground when you jump? Whenever I do it I just roll off from the jump animation

You need to do a plunging attack. That'll cause your character to go straight down instead of rolling.

For the Coward's Crystal, do you have to be in Oolacile Township?

You can do it anywhere there's a ledge drop as long as the height of the drop gives you enough time to do the inputs and isn't too high. Oolacile Township is just convenient since the ledge is close to the bonfire.

Yes. Either that or kill Sif and the Four Kings to get to the Kiln.

It still works. Getting on the railing is quite tricky. It's a somewhat precise angle and takes some practice to do consistently.

got the ledge but now when i do the spellswap i just warp to undead parish :( I've gotten it 3 times but never warped to kiln EDIT: OK it worked!!! I pressed A twice this time, not sure if necessary: once to accept the homeward warp and once to rest at the bonfire Also made sure last place I rested was the Lordvessel; think I messed that up the first time.

Completely possible with mouse and keyboard. You can even set up specific keybinds to make it easier. For example, bind shift + o to switch magic, shift + p to right weapon action and ctrl + o to left weapon action. Then to perform the spell swap, you just need to hold ctrl and shift and time pressing o and p correctly. (Press o and then immediately press p.) You'd probably need to change your keybinds back after performing the trick to make playing on mouse and keyboard possible again afterwards though.

I couldn't get the version of the wrong warp I used here working on Switch when I tried it. The version of the wrong warp that works on the original Dark Souls/PTDE seems to work on Switch though

I did recently learn that there is a consistent way of doing the spell swap with female characters. It requires buffering another animation into the spell swap. The easiest ones to buffer into it are the weapon toggle animation and the failed spell cast animation. So basically, you perform one of those animations, and then immediately do the spell swap the same way you would on a male character. It's still slightly harder to do because of having to buffer an animation into it first; but definitely doable. I plan to make a follow up video on it soon.
