DST: Rock Lobster Spider Farm

Moved another herd of rock lobsters into the spider farm.
This is how I got the first group of lobsters to behave like they were at home in my cave base.
Had to re-up because of music copyright lol :D

I see loads and loads of silk, glands, and queen masks, is this a place where if you WANTED silk, or glands you could get them, but you've long since needed to restock? just wondering cause that's a loooot of "junk" littering the ground. though it's proof of the farm working a treat.

DONT DO THIS ANYMORE, when a queen spawns with the new webber update she can spawn a nurse spider, just 2 queens are enough to lock each other in a permanant loop of fighting and healing, and neither will be able to kill the other, I have tried separating them and have spent the past 7 in game days almost non stop trying to seperate them, it does not work, they keep fighting, use bunnyman

Hey mate, was just wondering how you got a herd Of no eyed deer into a pen. I looked up onto it but was not able to find a tutorial/guide, Do we just kill all and leave 1 alive and then chsse the last 1 slowly to the pen like a volt goat? Or do I just fully chase it?

I noticed in your base, there are areas that there are no flingomatics, i'm not sure if it's because those videos are old or there is no need for them for certain structures, for example, gobbler farms, grass gekko farms etc. i am scared of not building flingos. mxwl You dont need flingos in areas that have fire pits as they can ectinguish the fire pits ( even endothermic) and some areas wont be set on fire bcs they have lightning rods or he just put wild fires on low

Thanks for this video. Im finding it difficult to get a lot of information for dst. I have a base in a forrest biome and the trees keep appearing everywhee no matter how much i chop em down. is there any way to stop this. Does diggin up the turf change this regrowth mechanic. So much info for dst is hard to come by.

Trees can not regrow on craftable turfs. You need to dig up and replace with whatever craftable turf you want to stop world regrowth.

Yup. All the turfs that we can craft and rocky/cave rock turf will prevent trees from growing.

i dont have the resources or time to replace all the turfs yet, and i kind of like the forrest turfs as is. im going to try digging up and then replanting the turfs to see if that works. ill pass along the info in case anyone else is interested

I built some pens for a grass Gekko farm and some bunny and pig farms, but whenever we get hounds, they destroy a few of the walls / fenses and let all the animals out. Any suggestions? I saw in your crazy 2000 (or so) base you have a lot of these pens, and wanted to know how you deal with hounds and if you have any suggestions.

Nowerdy: easy. Stay away from these areas when hounds spawn. Setup a hounds tooth trap area with about 10-20 tooth traps to start and add more traps as u get more resources. U can also jump in a cave when u hear hounds are about to spawn, to stop your hounds spawning.
