If you’re playing the 2018 forge, this guide may be a little outdated, and I prefer Woodie over a dart person as runner, because of the Boarilla’s new roll, and also if there are two tanks and woodie is runner he can be a melee dps with splint armor and he keeps feather hat and just get behind the boarrier to avoid most damage

Thanks for putting this together, very useful chunk of info. For that last tip about the tanks and them focusing on damage instead of avoiding damage, I disagree. For all enemies but the Boarillas and Grand Forge Boarrior, ALL attacks can be kited/avoided using both melee and range. Far too often have I seen tanks just sitting there, holding the auto-attack button, and then dropping because healers can't outpace the damage they're taking. This commonly happens against the scorpions and their poison, yet it's easily avoidable by just circling around them after their third attack. This cuts down time spent rezzing and keeps the tank holding aggro for the rest of the team.

It's best to dodge the acid, but otherwise its incredibly easy to outheal the damage. It just makes things go quicker. Any healer with atleast 10 or 15% cooldown can outheal most damage. The exception is boarrior.

No, it can't, but it's very easy to just walk within a crocs melee range to bait the melee attack instead. After that they'll stick to only using melee attacks for a while.

Ah I remember the Forge so well. If your team do not enter as a standardized team, e.g. Wes can take the role for crowd control and runner while a Wilson can stay with the rest. Dunno why do you prefer runner!Wilson during the Boarilla phase, I think people still die there, too.

Woodie is the best runner because he can tank when he doesnt have to kite and he can fully kite the boarrior Lucy is good at keeping aggro and he has 200 hp to tank Wicker should be caster because she 1 shots all the pigs the boarrior spawns with the infernal staff abiltiy Winona for heals bcuz more sleep for the boss Wx or wolf for tank Willow sucks tbh wicker should be used instead for that 1 shot or maxwell for the stun and extra dmg If youre not doing a deathless run then u need should get a wilson bcuz he makes life a lot easier If u are going deathless either pick another tank, a wigfrid with darts and just dont get squishy characters/be EXTRA careful on scorpions and switch tanks on the boss Gl guys :D

hey man nice vid! i remember playing with you like once and u were pretty good so hope to see you again in a game. I like your decision to kite as Wilson, its interesting and makes sense. But I still think woodie is the best. it is always possible to lose aggro randomly, but with Woodie, it's entirely impossible. it's also nice that he can grab aggro of anything at any time, incase maybe you somehow lose aggro you can get it back instantly or bring a dangerous enemy away from a team. He can also tank crocomanders. At first, you wont need to be kiting because you cant kite crocs, so I like to sit in the heal and throw my axe at the crocomander so he spits at me and not my team. Great work as runner, but you can use a much smaller space, which can relieve your team a little. kzbin.info/www/bejne/pHfFc3iMppx3gcU It's also possible to kite him in a spawn portal area, but thats just cocky and dangerous. That's actually sort of how I do it with Woody. But I intentionally move close to the team with Wilson when the barrage dart is ready.

Why does the Boarilla shield when someone with darts kites him but not when Woodie kites him? Also 26:44 Me neither

Maybe because the hits are spaced apart if Woodie only chucks Lucy. When I kite with Woodie, I melee attack the Boarilla 5 times with Lucy after dodging. It will still go into guard that way. Then I throw Lucy once after it breaks Guard.

Well I prefer Wilson over Wes. I do think Woodie should be the runner as long as there is only 1 other tank in the team. In a random team though, I think Wilson is still a lot more important.

Wilson as runner? Thats bad all over. Wilson will be occupied. Meaning you will need 2 wilsons which is a waste. Because you can get better DPS. Preferably woody as runner being lucy makes targeta focus him. And he can swap to tank on the final boss.

Two Wilsons is a god-send for games with random people (which is what this video was geared towards, as mentioned at 0:28). If you're in a cooridinated game with friends, then it's not necessary.

özgür uras akkoyun Maxwell does way less damage then Willow or Wick. In my experiences he does about 35,000 damage while willow does 50,000 and wicker 40,000 - 50,000 ( For wicker depending on the player is bad or not )

I think Maxwell does the most focused damage with the fire staff. I didn't include him because his cataclysm is weaker, which is significant for the pigs in a random team. But I think a coordinated team could use Maxwell's high damage for a speed run.

you're not wearing proper armor （splint and good helmet）or not playing woodie，movement speed armor doesn't allow mistakes，You need a few to learn the kiting movements.
