I generally prefer bunnymen over pigs as they provide 1 meat and 2 carrots, the carrots would then provide as filler, and they take only 1 day to respawn as compared to pigs. If I need pig skin, I usually force a werepig to get a guaranteed drop of pig tails.

It still makes sense to do this method sometimes cause full moons happen every 16 days and it would be a waste to just let the pigs sit there waiting for the moon when they respawn every 4 days.

Yup. That is Glommer's statue. But it doesn't do anything. I built around it for decoration. The item that attracts the pigs is the pig skin I placed inside the fences. You can place any item that the pigs eat inside the fences to keep them out of their houses.

You've probably figured it out now but yes you can use walls :). Although for DS single player you have the benefit of fire farms as well so you should check those out.

I used this cancelled attack technique. But once i failed and pigs killed me instantly. So now i just use ranged weapon to start fighting.

Hey the pig houses only spawn pigs 4 times right so if you do this you'll stop getting pigs? Correct me if I'm wrong

The pig houses will never stop spawning pigs. They take a little while though after they are killed: 4 days.

Im a bit late but he probs has a cave base and the houses themselves wont spontaneously combust so he should be fine. The reason the houses wont is because it would be a major design flaw of the game as houses in the wild would just burn down and be unaccesible to the player, meaning that pig houses generally arent in danger during the summer.

I like to do that for the bunnies. But for the pigs I use them for hound waves sometimes when there are no fire hounds. I also use them for the shadow bosses sometimes which is why the potter's wheel is right there. The shadow bishop would destroy so many walls. But if I didn't do those things, yeah, better to fence them in.

Yup. I don't do that because I like to use them against hounds sometimes, but that works.

I used pigskin. But you can use other things like powdercake. The item just has to be an item that the pigs consider as food that will not disappear. But even if you place something like meat, eventually the meat turns into rot, and rot works too.

lol.... Hire 2 pigs with 2 monster meat, sic them on 2 other pigs. they drop meat. go to pig villiage feed the pigs some pig. annihilate every other pig with your superior pig army, come back 4 days later and feed them the previous generation. destroy all houses, rebuild by your base. and the cycle continues.
