There's not a single rational person who respects LaVar's methods, since they're grossly immature at best and downright stupid at worst. Did he get attention? Sure. I have a mod from Steam that adds more stuff to tumbleweeds, ranging from ice/fire staves to Thulecite. You have never known horror until you find a Moose/Goose in tumbleweed.

I always do more tumbleweeds in world gen just for this mod alone because this mod gives me a limitless source of dark swords and fire/ice staves (they drop often), but they also give mobs, even bosses. When a single tumbleweed dropped a Moose/Goose, I lost my shit lmao. The chance is 0.01%, but it's there lol

Luck is when you get a desert with a wormhole leading to a reed trap setpiece. Seriously though, that is a pretty nice world. You got a desert, a swamp, a sinkhole, a long-distance wormhole, and pig king all in close proximity to each other.

Yeah I'm very happy with it. Also because of how close dragonfly and bee queen are :D If I had the reed trap in the swamp, pig torches in the base and a tallbird fort in the mosaic biome that would be practically perfect hehe.

I would dare to say my world gen is a bit better than this though my base isn’t as good since I’m only on day 491. If anyone cares it’s a PS4 world with the base, near bee queen, near moonstone, near Mactusk, wormhole to swamp with a cluster of about 14 reeds near the wormhole, a wormhole to the Beefalo near the moonstone, but here’s the kicker, there is a wormhole which leads to a small strip of grassland right between the dfly and oasis desert with both dfly and the oasis boardering the grassland strip.

I've had a world where I based in the centre of the map with a swamp and DF desert directly above me, walrus below, and Beefalo / Bee Queen not that far away. I also have a bee biome for beeswax, and a rocky for cobblestone turfs. Only issue I have is pig king being quite far away

*_I always had a problem with my bee boxes in my base, even killed my glommer when I was new._* *_A great way to get rid of the bee problem is make a safe exit (as you said) and plant a bunch of flowers near that exit. They will be content with these flowers and with enough they can't idle around your base. Remember to pick any rogue flowers in or near the bee boxes that are not in the group of flowers. It can make them go away from the group and go to your farms and screw everything up._*

I usually can't set up so close to deserts in my world even though i go pretty often. I find both the antlion desert and the dragonfly useful, but when setting base up, I always fail. Something like a tumbleweed catches on fire and burns my base down. Even when the desert was way away from me this happened. So I set up neat the antlion one but during summer I couldn't see well enough in the desert to do any of the things I wanted to do.

So then how do you deal with pengulls? Are they not a problem in dst? Do you have a solution? In DS they just ruin everything they touch by smacking my walls and letting my animals loose.

I was very careful in this world not to approach water during winter, so that pengulls did not spawn anywhere near my base. It is not necessary to do that anymore because permanent pengull glaciers have been patched out of the game. But you can still avoid staying near the waters during winter if you do not want pengulls to spawn near your animal pens.

Hi. Thanks. The no-eyed deer are not really a farm. It's just decoration, and I don't get anything from it. Not even those antlers. I placed the antlers there manually. I trapped the herd in by placing a salt lick inside their pen. They moved in and I locked them inside. They won't despawn if they are close to your base, so they are there all the time. If I attack them they will start destroying the fences, so I just leave them in there cuz it looks nice :D

There are actually so many things in that base that don't make sense for an almost completely solo Wigfrid player (a lot of them don't make sense for the other characters either). Utility and efficiency is not the point of a 2k base though. It's more for fun and decoration.

I have seen many videos of you and I've never encounter a farm for hound's teeth with bunnymen and hound mounds in desert. Why is that?

You can make that work, but you would have to make the area fireproof or stay away from the mounds during autumn and summer. I don't do that though because hound mounds are natural spawns. It shouldn't matter, but if they looked nice and neat when they spawned (like if it was the hound mound set piece with the rocks in the middle), I would be tempted a lot more to make them part of my base.

hey, do you any ways to keep an area of the map loaded? I built my bee boxes a little to far from base, and they dont produce fast enough.. And dont really want to move them because of the absurd amount of flowers I already planted there =P I tried placing an ocuvigil to see if the area was kept loaded but it doesnt work..

Yeah, the ocuvigil doesn't keep an area loaded. Otherwise, my base would have burned down a long time ago. You will just have to walk by your bee farm every now and then to make them produce more. But when I go to my bee box area during autumn mornings and come back during dusk, the bee boxes are usually all full.

The statue isnt doing the work, a food item like powder cake is, glommers statue is just in there to look nice

You need food or certain items on the ground to attract the pigs. I'm using a pig tail. I just decided to build around the statue, but it doesn't do anything.

In that world where I play Wolfgang, I have 2 summer bases, one on the surface and one in the Ruins. My main base has an ocuvigil and is not protected by flingomatics. So if the ocuvigil kept it loaded as if a player was there, whenever I spent my summer in the surface summer base, my main base would be in danger of burning down. But I've spent many summers on the surface in that summer base and the main base has never caught on fire. So I don't think the ocuvigil keeps an area loaded.

That could be true but I could also be due to the fact that surface and caves are 2 different worlds and if no player is present in a world it is put into a sleep mode. However there's a pretty good experiment I think could prove/disprove it. Build 3 rabbit-spider farms, 1 in your main area, and the other 2 far far away so you will never load them on accident (the 2 non-main-base traps should also be far apart), except in one of them you place ocuvigil. Now say you come back 20 days later and compare amount of loot you gathered. If the ocuvigl keeps the area loaded, the far non-ocuvigil farm should have little to no loot, and the far ocuvigil farm should have roughly the same amount (if not more) of loot as your main base farm. I'd like to try this experiment but I wont be able to play dst for about 2 weeks, so if anyone would like to try it remember to post the results :)

In the example I gave, it actually only involves the surface world. The ocuvigil is in my main base in an area that can clearly burn down while I spend the summer in a separate surface base protected by flingomatics. So it doesn't involve the caves. But the main base never burns down no matter how many summers I spend on the surface this way.

The mosaic biome will not run out of rocks because of the meteors. Rocks in the caves do not run out either because of earthquakes. There are also the boulders from antlion cave-ins. Moleworms are ok too.

To avoid disease, replant more often than every 50 days. It resets the disease timer which causes disease past the 50th day. Or so I've heard from a 'pro' player. I can't even get past day 30.

That disease timer is very hard to work with on a large scale. I'd rather not have to deal with that in the long run.

I've made it as far as like day 80 or something, I think in my second summer I had my first dragon fly spawn, I had no idea what to do so it burned down my whole base, I ended up dying while building up my secondary base to a huge hound wave before I got my teeth traps in place. I love this game, every time I survive longer than I did previously and I think I've attained mastery over nature, then something I've never seen before shows up and shits on me XD

They usually die before getting to the meat. The bunnies and spiders move around during the same time of day so the bunnies are constantly killing them when they leave the nest. Spiders do not eat glands.

Learning to fight the shadow creatures might change the worry over going insane. But when I don't want to be bothered by the shadow creatures, because I'm building or fighting other mobs, or because the game looks and sounds so depressing when we go insane, having the Tam o' Shanter to wear on your head helps a lot. Food: cooked green mushrooms, jerky, taffy. Picking flowers. Sleeping.

Mini signs are part of Don't Starve Together. You can construct them through the structures tab. You label them by dropping whatever item you want next to the sign. Then draw that item by using a feather pencil on the sign. You craft feather pencils through the tools tab.

Reece Durack yes. When I play as Wigfrid, I put spider farms right next to my base. That solves 99% of Wigfrid's sanity and hunger issues. But don't cluster the nests together; they can be tough to manage if you do.

You can get rid of all the moles near the pig king area. After that, they don't randomly spawn so the gold will be safe. But other than that, I leave the gold there just because it looks nice and I'm a little lazy to pick it all up:)

I like the volt goats for the horns and sometimes also for the meat. There are a lot of useless things in every big base that we just build for the sake of building them. But for me, the volt goat pen is not one of them.
