Do you suggest I use diplexer to connect my 2 HD decoders because trying to plug the RF out to the the RF in of my secondary decoder to send heartbeat ...the two decoders will have signal problem and they won't be clear but when I remove the connection of the secondary decoder .the primary decoder becomes clear

With the first two hd decoders,,,u didn't use smart lnb, so I suggest you use diplexer for the heart beat

Thanks for your videos. But I had the older HD Decoder (Model 4S with RF IN and OUT). I recently purchased the new type with single LNB Port (Model 8S) and paired for extraview as secondary decoder. I am using the TWIN Universal LNB and Combiner (Diplexer). The extra view decoder works as soon as I call customer care for reset but stops after 2min or so. Could it be distance and length of cable? From living room to bedroom is about 20m length. Pls advice!

Do you need a DStv account for the DStv HD decoder that doesn't have card slot? Coz I bought one and I have no idea how to use it.

They will create an account for you with the Decoder IUC number / SmartCard number. After the decoder installation, you have to call Dstv office for the decoder activation, where you'll provide your personal details plus the decoder info.

It will only work as you prefer, if it's an extra-view Installation. Aside that, it's not possible to watch different Channels

Please I found out that the issue in mine is that when i remove the lnb wire of the secondary decoder out of the Dual LNB from the dish ...the primary decoder becomes but plugging it back makes the primary decoder have bad network and even go blank . So the secondary lnb wire is the cause ..i changed the lnb and the wire ...its still the same

You'll need either a DStv smart LNB or two diplexer plus the Dual LNB. Only the dual LNB can't help in sending the heartbeat signal. After that call Dstv office for the extraview activation

Buy two Diplexer and use the antenna side to get the heartbeat. If you can afford Dstv smart LNB it will be a good option

If you're doing extraview Installation, using Explora Decoders have large range of signal pairing, but it shouldn't go beyond 30m

You have to call DStv customer care number of your country for activation. They will request for the details of your decoder. ACCESS is the DStv lower level package. That's what will be activated for the first month duration, which is free.
