Thank you for the easy and concise explanation. I have been trolling the Internet for a day or two to try and find simple advice on how to connect the LNB for easy view. All the sites except yours go into extremes to confuse then suggest you use their installer. It's almost as though they collude to discourage users not to do the installations themselves. Put pressure on DStv to pair the two decoders if you think you've done everything possible. Later send the decoders to any nearby Dstv office for decoders check up, if there's no positive outcome. Some decoders have internal problems and you can't do anything to pair them. They will get you a new one if there's faults with the decoders. ❤️

hey prince, i understand when you are installing HD decoder 2, you ddnt finish the process coz it was already set before the video, notice the quick setup for lnb frequency for the secondary decoder wasnt saved and it used the primary setting of 1210and 1420 check your video.

If every cable is at the right position and the settings on the Decoders are well arranged, you have to call Dstv office for them to send the heat beat signal for the two Decoders to pair. Good day I'm a new installer I have been finding it very difficult to do this extra view installation for my explorer 2a and hd 5 Zappa and a smart lnb. I need your help on that. I took the both decoders to dstv office here in Nigeria and the personnel plugged in the both decoders and the worked perfectly well. Though she used a diplexer for the zappa to the explorer. I came back with them and I was still having a no communication from primary decoder error. I need your help sir.

This whereby you're using 2 DStv decoders in the same house. The setup allows you to pay for the subscription on the First decoder and pay small amount for the extraview Connection on the second Decoder, which helps you to save a lot. You don't need any additional dish. The kits needed for Installation will depend on the decoder models.

Using the Explora 2A will be the right option. With older Decoders the distance is limited to only 7 m but the newer Decoders are up to 30 m.

One has to be an Explora decoder. But there's another strategy that can help to send the heartbeat signal successfully. Even for now Dstv only allows 2 decoders in Extra view. So don't even think of 3 DECODERS. You can't connect up to 3 .

Unless you call DStv office. Anything aside them is illegal. And you can't teach illegal strategies on the internet. You will end up in jail or your channel getting a strike. And it's difficult to tell strangers some secret ideas. Because you don't know where they're coming from (Dstv Representatives). So for now just forget about 3 DECODERS in extraview, you can link 2 and Install the other one separately using the same dish. ❤️
