This is such a fantastic mod! Thank you for this!! With each feature you talked about, I was more and more surprised lol. This really brings DCS a little closer to Falcon BMS. I LOVE how BMS has their DTC implemented and always wanted something like that for DCS. A lot of work went into this I can tell.

BMS is great. I can’t play it for long because the graphics mean my immersion is totalled, however. I’ve done a lot of work in 3D motion graphics, so maybe I’m a bit of a snowflake when it comes to pre-PBR visuals but I can’t help that.

That's one of the great things about BMS; it already comes with several things that require a separate program in DCS, if available at all.

I will try to clarify in the future, but its a Windows app, so it obviously won't display in VR. Now, I am researching some ways to improve the experience for VR users, but no promises.

@@the_paid_actor Even if you made a GUI overlay like scratchpad or srs and have that transfer the data to the app running in the background that would be legit. Just an idea, I don't program so I'm just throwing shit at walls lol.

@@_Jake.From.Statefarm_ The data transfer already occurs in the background. Just leave the app running on the background and execute the upload in the jet once inside VR. But if you are talking about ALL the settings, it would be impossible to replicate a sophisticated UI like I did inside DCS. SRS is also a windows app, the only stuff that appears inside DCS are some lines of text. And Scratchpad has a very simple UI which is appropriate for its purpose.

@@the_paid_actor agreed, would it be possible for the scratchpad text to be sent to the app? For on the fly waypoints amd markpoints to be added? That is really the only thing that is used on the fly that needs a popup window.. saving a markpoints would be huge!

You can enter data manually for a long time, but this utility is a database that does everything in seconds. This is a huge time saver. But you need to enter data into it once.

Great mod, though I am having one issue. My MFDs in NAV, A-A, and A-G setup is completely wrong, though somehow it nails the dogfight and missile override setup. Any reason this could happen?

What I want to do is have the radar page parameters in my Hornet set up as the defaults I prefer to have of the two missile types I use + TACAN set, so I don't have to spend so much time doing this on the carrier deck.... in the multiplayer server I mostly fly in. If that is what this app does I will install it.

TACAN is in the app, but what specific radar settings are we talking about here? The only settings that the Hornet radar persists are the settings you set in the DATA page. Azimuth and bar settings are reset between changing modes or A/A missiles. This is the thing I mostly dislike about the Hornet versus the Viper. Also I don't track feature requests or bug reports on KZbin, please go to Discord for issuing that.

@@the_paid_actor On the Radar Attack page in the Hornet - You can set and save the bar, range, PRF, degrees of the sweep, settings, separately for AMRAAM and Sidewinders, etc...and the DATA (2, 4, 8, 16, 32, I use 32 all the time ). So if you switch between missiles and back or go to another page altogether it defaults to the settings you put in when you set up your Radar Attack page. You just have to save it by pushing Set when you are done for each missile type. This guy shows how it's done. Except I don't remember if showed about Data. For that you just click the Data tab and then at the top right button you click until 32 then click Data again. Then you can click Set. And your done until you shut down your jet. Great mod I must say once again. I fly most times in vr. I tried using the mod in vr. It works great as demonstrated but the mod gui does not stay in vr environment. I had to pull off my headset to interact with the GUI and go back in vr cockpit to click on the buttons so as to activate the settings in 2D. Is that how it is or I am missing some kind of setting to make the GUI visible in vr environment. Once again, thank you The_Paid_Actor for this mod. Saves me a lot of stress.

I haven't updated to this version yet but I use an older version in VR. It works, the only hitch is the waypoint creation crosshair isn't visible so you pretty much just have to zoom all the way in directly over the desired waypoint location to make sure you're in precisely the right spot.

I have something similar for the Mirage 2000 specifically, which doesn't break IC. But you'd really have to download and check yourself if this doesn't, I haven't seen anyone comment about it so far.

No it does not. It requires "player exports" to be allowed, which is enabled on pretty much any server. Basically uses DCS functions that simpits uses as well.

I think it's impossible, the utility doesn't change anything. Only data entry into the on-board computer.

I'll admit, I don't understand the advantages (if any) of using this mod when all of these things can be set up either during Mission Creation or within the Cockpit, prior too and even during flight. So what does this do other than putting everything in one spot ? It seems to me that you wouldn't have to do many more clicks within the cockpit or GUI to do all of the same things (or most things) that this mod can do. Can someone please explain to me the advantages ... if any ? Thanks in Advance. PS> I am just now learning the F-16 and am currently barely familiar with all of its features.

Except when you have to do this every time, over and over again to setup the jet the way you want, it gets old very fast. This is functionality that the real jet has through the DTC cartridge. I built this originally just for myself and I use it every single time I fly DCS, as well as a bunch of other squadrons. And also, the settings can be shared among people easily.

For example...to always set the countermeasures in the hornet to your liking can get old pretty fast. I don't even think while doing it anymore since it's always the same, which makes this part skipable, in my opinion.
