J-Hope is really getting my attention the more I see him perform. I love his b-b-boy swag and happy energy he brings to the group. Plus, the boy can dance his ass off!

How we’d feel about them going solo: They do go solo, while also still being in BTS. They’ve always had the freedom to release solo work, and each member has done so. But they have said before that solo is not their desire. If you really watched deep conversations they’ve had, like when they’re on tour, they’ve even said many times how they couldn’t even imagine how hard it must be to be a solo artist and that they’re so grateful they have each other. They all have solo songs throughout their albums, but in addition to BTS albums: Namjoon has released two mixtapes and many individual songs and collabs or features. Seokjin has done covers and released a solo song last year called “Tonight.” Yoongi has one mixtape and has individually produced for many other artists (and he’s planning to release his second mixtape this year). Hoseok has a mixtape and has done solo work like Chicken Noodle Soup. Jimin has done covers and has a solo song titled “Promise.” Taehyung has done covers and released a few solo songs like “Winter Bear” and “Scenery.” Jungkook has done a TON of covers, and is planning to release his own solo project most likely this year (he’s been working on it since last year and released a teaser on his past birthday in September). And guess what: all of their solo work outside of BTS is released for free! It’s never “official”. They always upload their solo work onto Soundcloud, and for mixtapes they also release download links like from dropbox.

He is a natural! Jhope is also the foundation for their performances coz he's got the most experience & knowledge on stage. Yo that legend is fact!! Because before my first BTS concert, Hobi was my least favorite member. I absolutely loved him as person - do not get me wrong!!! But he was no where close to being a bias. And even though I owned All of his solo work, I didn’t listen to it as much as other members. And then I saw them at PTD LA. And he came out in that black mesh outfit, during black swan and fake love. And my entire thought process stopped and then shifted. By the end of the night I left realizing that I had cheered more for Hobi then I did for Suga and Jimin combined! - Yoongi and Jimin are my ult biases!!! And Hobi was my least fav, so for me to cheer more for him then the other 2 combined was so confusing to me!! Then I saw them again in LV. And it was the same thing. And after Hobipalooza I finally had to admit that he has completely wrecked me

And yes Bighit does let them have ALOT of freedom artistically. They do have alot of solo projects, solo songs etc. And thats very rare for companies in korea to allow towards idol groups, unfortunately ofc. Thats what sets bts and bighit aside.

Bit Hit isn't the only company that does that. SM does it for EXO. I think it has more to do with the group's success at the time they reach manhood (aka military service).

Dignity Is Overrated all solo projects aside from the songs on the albums were free, and some of them were made with members own money like CNS and agust d because they wanted to make it their own entirely. this is not the way sm do things. Also any member who wants to release something can release the way they want in bts they only need to figure out the timing

hobi is such an intersting person, he is one of my role models and he is so self disciplined and a pillar to the group. i wish this video touched more on his role as the second or "internal" leader of bts but i guess it's a bit hard since hobi doesn't talk about himself that much since he is pretty reserved and has said he likes to keep his personal and public life separated. but you can really see many sides of himself in the lyrics he wrote for his mixtape "hope world", and peace of piece pt.1 is my favorite

Hobi and Jinnie are the most reserved ones in BTS. These two are so good in hiding their own colours. If I didnt committed enough attention to all of them especially Hobi, I wouldnt know his other persona other than the sunshine one.

IKR HOBI IS AN ENIGMA REALLY. He doesn't talk about himself a lot, even jimin said he wishes hobi would open up more abt his hardships etc. (lol its so aquarius of him) AND most of the stuff we know about hobi comes from the other members describing him or from interviews. But he himself doesn't really delve into his past and all that. Interesting. He's like the shadow to rm's light (kuroko to kagami). Hobi leads the (exterior) performance aspect of the team but he leads from shadows/behind the scenes, RM leads as the social face of the group/light but very much focuses on their music aspect (interior). This dynamic of theirs is really interesting to observe. Their mutual respect and admiration of their roles is admirable. Its also very reassuring to me that Joonie has someone to lean on in terms of leadership cause bruh being the leader of the biggest boygroup in the world, going to hollywood shows etc...all those interviews, scrutiny IS SO heavy but joon handles it so well. His stage presence is insane. I saw BTS for the first time live at their Rose Bowl concert last year and I was blown away. He is my bias wrecker for sure. Just wait until you see all of them perform. Since you've got tickets to their concert, and you're starting to grow an appreciation for Hobi, gotta warn you. There is a phenomenon that goes on during BTS concerts, where fans go thinking they have a bias, and end up leaving with a newfound respect and love for Hobi and Jin. It's a thing. Just be prepared. Your bias might get wrecked. :D And yeah, they allow for each member to have their solo moments to shine so no one is made to feel less than the others. Which I feel is healthy for a group, as it keeps individuals from feeling like they HAVE to go solo to achieve personal glory. Then again, the members of BTS seem to strongly feel that glory for the group IS personal glory, and personal glory IS group glory. While I believe they CAN each go solo, I don't think any of them actually WANT to go solo, as they've become accustomed to having their brothers for support, to fill in for each other when they may have an off day, and just raise each other's spirits. If you watch the making of Chicken Noodle Soup, especially J-Hope's personal vlog about his solo trip out to LA to film the music video with Becky G, he was constantly expressing how lonely and vulnerable he felt without the members. So yeah, they could, but they wouldn't want to, and I wouldn't want them to because of that. :) J-Hope is an excellent singer as well. Stephen Colbert had them on his show, and they did a live performance of Make It Right. You should definitely do a reaction to it (for Patreon). It is quiet and chill and really just focuses on their vocals. I love J-Hope's singing in that one. Also, the boys have been in many commercials. You could look up and react to some of them, but their Puma commercials (which is where that opening dance clip was from) are amazing, and they have asmr fried chicken commercials that are funny. xD

Just to clarify: • All of them were equipped with different skill set before they became a group but the best thing about it is they have good communication that bred to great group dynamics which they constantly worked on over the years. They worked hard on that chemistry to the point that they became a family. So unlike most groups where you see that they just try to get along in front of the camera. But these 7 individuals who were constantly being hated on and - dare I say - oppressed by the industry had to look out for each other and their closeness is very tangible to everyone who sees them. They only ever had US, the ARMY. And I think because of that they were driven and tried to push through with their craft. Wanting to be better than before, perfecting every song, choreo, the overall performance, made them each and as a group talented in every aspect because they worked hard at it. • They do have solo projects 😊 this shows that they’re artists because they really want to work hard on their group and individual projects. And we’re all for that ☺️ It’s not hard because you’ll find out sooner or later that ALL of them have a very appealing personality that it’s very hard to just support 1 member. Tho there are solo stans, but being an ARMY is all about OT7.

Anne Dolan exactly and I think it bleeds over pretty clear across the screens how much their cherish each other. Plus, they usually are pretty honest and even scold each other on screen. That’s what’s amazing about them is their transparency and sincerity that very few today have.

Jimin and J-Hope are natural performers. My eyes are always switching back and forth between them when watching their performances. It's good that each members are given their own moments to shine in every songs they perform in which they can showcase individual strengths. Both Jimin and J-Hope have this natural charisma that effortlessly command attention. J-Hope possesses a natural swag in his body movements while Jimin-ssi exudes a natural grace that can only be an in-born trait. I love all the boys, as they each have an area of their own expertise; but for me Jimin and J-Hope score extra points with me because I really love people who turn dancing into a form of art.

I saw you got concert tickets and you should know there's this phenomenon that J-Hope bias-wrecks everyone at concerts. His stage presence is insane. Seriously, so many reactors come back from concerts and say the same thing "J-Hope surprised me. I couldn't take my eyes off of him. I guess I was sleeping on him but he owned that stage..." I actually officially became Hoseok biased at Metlife D1 last May. I was a Jimin bias but I couldn't stop screaming about Hoseok the entire concert and on the train ride home, I officially called it. haha. You'll see. Jin also steals hearts at concerts because he's SO good live with his vocals. So stable. He just eats it up.

He’s actually the dance leader and choreographer of the group. He teaches the members and introduces the new moves that they were assigned to dance. And he also take those choreography’s that were given to BTS by third-party dance companies and he most them into a BTS style dance. Meaning he take the dances and fit them according to every member. They have touched on this topic various times throughout their careers. They all fear j-hope when on stage or dancing because he is a very serious dancer and will point out the tiniest mistakes that are made during practicing and he will make the members re-dance again Also in them going solo I’m pretty sure armies will support that. But they have asked this question numerous times by interviewers in the past and have said that they want to continue working with each other for a long time, similarly to the Backstreet Boys or other groups that have lasted for a long time. I will support them no matter what. But as Suga said he wants to be in BTS until he is old. In their recent vacation which only lasted a month they said it felt like an eternity since that was the longest time they have been apart from one another.

I really don’t mind if they have solo songs and performances (they already do) but the thing is that I love BTS not only for their music and personality but also I love the brotherhood between them. I love how they love and care about each other which is not fake at all. You see sometimes group members who respect each other and care for each other but still you feel something missing about them. BTS they shine individual but when they are together you see something unique and pretty. The fact that most army see Run episodes etc. when it has nth to do with their music but more with their personality and brotherhood. Actually one of the reason I’ve became the army who I’m right now is watching stuff like that. It made me connect to them and I felt even more related to them than ever before

Yes. In Korea they count anniversaries or special events in days until they reach a year. And many Korean artists celebrate their 500 days since debut. It's setting a milestone to get past and survive in a highly competitive industry where tons of groups don't make it.

To me, JHope has become more noticed and has done so great in 2019 that he is being more recognized and he needs to have his props. He is the best street lead dancer and Jimin is a great dancer but contemporary. He was not a rapper when he joined. They taught him how to rap. They r very hard on themselves to improve. He has come up and we all love our Mr. SUNSHINE Hobi. It would not be the same if the band disbanded and they became solo artists. They are all very capable of doing that and being successful at it, but it would not be the same. Oh I got my BTS tickets for the Dallas show on the 10th. Yay!

Hobi is definitely a very positive person who is always encouraging others, however, him and Jin (Who are known as the happy pills/energizers of the group) have both said that they do get quite stressed and sad at times. The members themselves have said that during their trainee days they'd never seen anyone more depressed than Hobi. So I think this is even more reason to appreciate just how hard they work to lift the spirit of the group and ARMY. We should also never put such high expectations on them as to force them to think they are stuck with a role unable to show us when they truly struggle.

Hope is such a sunshine, my bias;) he is very attractive whenever he raps dances sings. he shines so bright on stage. I think at some point after bts they re gonna continue as solo acts and that seems natural to me. I'll keep supporting them. Right now rap line(jhope, rm, suga) has their mixtapes out and all the members do solo projects/collabs time to time but they re mainly focusing on group. some of my thoughts: j-hope is a phenomenal dancer who although has as sunny personality also has a very serious persona. i think the latest comeback trailer EGO will show you his personality esp in the lyrics. he takes on the responsibility to help the rest of the team get the moves right even though they do have a separate dance teacher for that. "technically" speaking j-hope and jimin are the 2 "best" dancers of the group due to jhope's street dance background and jimin's contemporary dance background. but obviously they are all amazing as a team. j-hope actualy trained for a really long time and before bts debuted he actually once left because he felt really low and beat up and wanted to give up, but RM and jk convinced him to come back, and because of the members, he regained his confidence and sunny demeanour. i've often thought about it and i think that each of them, having so much talent and skills of their own be it singing rapping dancing acting etc, could certainly succeed going solo (like you said, Avengers! lol). i would certainly support them if they did, but they have expressed wishes to be a team which of course we are happy about. beyond that j-hope really does his best to improve his english so that he can support RM and take some weight off RM's shoulders during interviews. the members have often said j-hope is the second leader in the group or the behind the scenes leader.

both jimin and j-hope are considered to be the "best", or main, dancers. in my opinion, due to their vastly different styles, one is not better than the other, and whom ever you prefer is simply due to personal taste.

Each is the "best" in his respective area of expertise. For street and hip hop it's Hobi. For contemporary and more artistic dance, it's Jimin. But don't discount JK either. He's right up there with them, but I think even he would say they are the experts.

Jimin, to me, excels in everything he does. I have to force myself to watch anyone else in dance practices and lives.

Hobi was already famous among trainees when BTS debuted. He was known for being really a phenomenal dancer. And during their early days, BTS was known as Jung Hoseok and his group. So yeah, Hobi’s stage presence will bias wreck so hard. you wouldn’t know what hit you. As for the going solo, As most of the ARMY fam mentioned, they always work on their individual craft. While Bighit and BtS collaborate on the group’s project, BTS solo works are done by them entirely. Their solo work must be thought out and worked on by these guys. It was said in their interview that if they need help with making their solo projects, BH would give them that help but the concept and so on should come from them. ARMY should be an OT7, and we always support their individual work. And these boys love each other so much, they don’t want to be alone even if they’re old. 😂 But yeah... they can do whatever they want and ARMY will still support them. 💜

each of the members have solo projects, some more involved than others. all of the rappers have mixtapes, and the singers all have their own true solo songs outside of BTS. as of right now, none of the boys want to go solo, and we also prefer them together so that they can support each other. during their most recent docuseries (I'm pretty sure this was mentioned in bring the soul) they talked about how they wouldn't be able to stand touring alone and how lonely it would be. (speaking of solos, we as a fandom are dealing with some internal issues. there are people called "solo-stans" causing a mess in the fandom. they are basically people who only support one of the members, and completely disregard the rest. in some situations, they even direct horrible hate campaigns against all the members except for their favorite. we tend to avoid talking about solo careers for the boys because they like to use those conversations as an opportunity to push their own agenda of spreading hate against the other members in their crusade to get their favorite to outright leave the group because they believe "that's what's best for him." they've baned together to take down several translators and fanbases who they accuse of "not supporting their fave." there's alot of politics around it, so just be careful not to get sucked into a cultural vacuum of solo stans. They actually all have their solo projects. That's also one of the reason why BTS is still together because the company led by Bang Si Hyuk is giving them freedom to do whatever they want and improve their talents. All 3 rappers have their solo albums. Others also have their own songs. They also act. They make their videos. They are free to do date. BigHit is treating their artists as human beings thats why we support not just BTS but also its company. 💜💜💜

He is the first member that caught my attention and he still is my most fav member eventhough sometimes he got less appreciation. If you find out more about him, you'll see how serious he is to give the best performance on stage, he would be the first one to notice any error on stage or mic or even slightest mistake on their dance. He's also really selfless, puts others hapiness first than him, he's pure sunshine 🥺

they do solo projects and we love them! we're so lucky that they manage to do it on the side of everything, often getting to show sides that wouldn't be in bts songs (eg yoongi's agust d being explicit, very open about mental illness, references to suicide; namjoon's mono a whole sad masterpiece, their fully self written soundcloud songs). their solo stuff can be even more special in some ways, i think namjoon said that it's a bighit rule that they have to write it on their own/with the members' help? it's also cute af how supportive they all are of other members' solo songs. when you were asking about the best dancer: you should watch their mama 2016 performance, jimin and hobi's dance is wild

I was looking forward for this reaction! Though they all dance very well, especially the dance line (J-Hope, Jimin, JK, V) I saw their choreographer say that J-Hope is the best dancer. From what I understand, he is the dance leader, meaning he is in charge of the dance to go smoothly, and I think he does a pretty good job. Though he is such a sunshine, I saw a discussion between members where RM, Jin and Jimin were mentioning how they eyes go straight to J-Hope when they make a mistake. I thought is was funny if even Jimin said it. In a Run episode they wrote poems/ letters and V tells J-Hope to look at them with a smile when they make a mistake on stage because everybody is wrong sometimes. I find it amazing for them to have such reactions when he is such a sunshine. I wonder if it is his work ethic that makes them want not to be wrong in front of him. He does not seem scary. 😜 Personally I love his voice and the way he raps. His Hope World album is great!

J-HOPE is such an amazing performer. When I first got into BTS my eyes would always go toward the maknae line but whenever I have seen BTS live my eyes always go to J-Hope because of his stage presence! It’s a common thing, after you see them live the members that get the least online attention (J-hope and Jin) steal the live shows with their talent!! Needless to say I am ot7 and each member has something special to love about them :) 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜

jhope's stage presence is I N S A N E. i went to a concert with three other armys, none of whom biased jhope, and we were absolutely /floored/ by his stage presence, i cant even begin to describe it. he's just, *bigger* . he fills up a whole stage by himself easily (we saw just dance). we were completely transfixed, and when we walked out he was literally all we could talk about. NONE OF US BIASED HIM, we werent inclined to favor him one way or another, but he was just born to perform. ive never experienced anything like that and TONS of other army have similar stories

im pretty sure the 500 days was him talking about it being 500 days since they debuted and opened their fan cafe (the site where they can interact with fans). regarding Solo projects- they can have them if they want. the rappers do and the singers release Solo songs and covers. theyve talked a bit about how lonely touring alone would be, so I dont think they'd tour alone. but I can see them doing special Solo stages at bts shows. I'll respect every member regardless of their decision, and I'm sure the members will be behind them as well. also as much as i love jhope. he is kind of an enigma to me. each member obviously has their persona and then who they really are. and I feel like for each member, you know their persona pretty well and then you get a glimpse into who they really are. the guy who isn't a part of bts, per say. but I feel like for jhope, he comes off as very guarded. I feel like I know jhope. I don't know Jung hoseok. he even says so himself that being given the name j-"hope" has led him to act a certain way. not that it's not totally him, though. it's just kind of interesting to me and I respect him totally for keeping himself to himself.

Of course at least some members will do solo tours eventually. They are so big I'm sure they will do well solo after BTS is over. Let's face it, do we really expect them to just stay in BTS for the rest of their careers? Eventually BTS will break up and I hope all the members will be just as successful solo.

@@greygreygray Why can't they stay as BTS? There are plenty of groups that don't officially disband and have been around for years. Super Junior has been together for 10+ years now. Shinhwa is at 20+ now if I'm not mistaken. That's only two examples but being in a group doesn't limit BTS in any way. They themselves have stated they want to be a group for years and years to come. Yoongi has said he wants to keep making music with them until they grow old.

He has great passion on dance. He did great in dancing. In BTS, he is the one who responsible to teach, monitor and correct the others member on dance move. Jin once said that JHope shows serious face when it comes to dance. Jin would rather asked Jimin, who is more lenient, to teach him dance move when he can't catch up.

i feel like in the western world of music many people think it’s either you’re in a band ... or you go solo... and bts proves that you can do both without hindering one another. As of now all the rappers in BTS have technically “gone solo” starting with rm then yoongi and then jhope. They each have released music separate to what they create with bts, and it has been really successful! rm has two works 1. RM 2. MONO yoongi has AgustD and jhope has HopeWorld you should definitely check them out!! the vocal line have also released individual music on their own, and i think jk is working on his first solo work. Along that thought bts themselves have mentioned that working on their individual projects serves as another form of expression, but they still prioritize working together as BTS :D

there is a difference in his solo works, for example "chicken noodle soup" is a solo work of jhope apart from bts, and instead "boy meets evil" is a solo song within the bts discography. and as for the best dancer, I don't think you can choose one in bts, because jhope and jimin have a super different style, so you can't compare

Well Korean artists do solo work (and tour as soloists) without breaking up the group. In fact all the rappers of BTS have complete solo projects. Going solo isn’t as much of a taboo in Korea as it is in the West bc going solo *doesn’t* equal breaking up the group. Over there you’re allowed to express yourself creatively as an individual and still go back to your group when you’re done.

That's our dancing king! His stage presence is no joke. I didn't have a bias until first time seeing bts in 2017, and jhope caught my attention! After that, i found that many armys were turned into a jhope stan after they went to a bts concert 😂 There is a well-known saying in the army fandom: the videos and photos can't even capture half of the charisma and how good looking of him in real life! As someone who have seen them 3 time, i totally approve it.

The only one thing I'm not satisfied with the introduction video is, they focus more on jhope's goofy side. It's not a bad thing at all but sometimes people would think he is just a loud and cheerful one and that's all . He actually is very strict when it comes to making music and arrange the members' dance practice blocking, which is something you can't tell from this video :)

He is really hard to miss because he dance really hard. Also, he have a huge stage presence. If you go to the concert, you'll see how powerful he is. A lot of Army that went to the concert acknowledge this and got bias wrecked. Some even change their bias. As for me, I change my bias several times before but in the end he wins the number 1 spot because he caught my eyes the most and his bubbly personality. PS : Jhope and Jimin are the most bubbly and energetic in the group. However, they're the scariest when they got angry. The other member mention this before. 😂

First of all, I loved how you started with Chicken Noodle Soup before diving into the intro video. I think it's a good idea to see how each member performs individually to get to know a bit about their strengths as a performer before getting into how they are as people. I think it would be great if you continued on with this format for this series. If you do, I suggest the following songs: Serendipity for Jimin, Singularity for V/Taehyung and Euphoria for Jungkook. Each has an MV although of course, the live performances of these songs are a treat all on their own. Also taking this opportunity to say that I really love how you go about your reactions. I appreciate your thoughtfulness and calm, steady energy as you go deeper down the rabbit hole that is BTS haha 😁 Thank you so much for sharing your time and insights with us. Yeah, they have a lot of solo stuff. It's great because we get too see them even more as individuals in addition to being part of a group. I think that's probably good for them, too. I love how they hype up each others' works. When I first got into bts, I really tried to put them into categories and think of who I liked the best etc. but the more I watched them, the more I realized how stupid that was. Even though I have a bias now, I find myself being biaswrecked by all of them all the time. I feel like most armys are like that. That's why them doing solo stuff isn't a problem. Even if someone's solo thing is amazing, we still love them all equally and their close bond with each other 💜
