I dont see big problems with these videos because it is compilations of their sexy moves and performances. Like, Jimin knows what he was doing and he knows that the fans enjoy. In my opinion it was a problem when Jimin was just a teenager and Bighit used his body to caught fame. But now he is a grow man and he can use his body in the way he wants. Jimin also said a lot of times that he wants to be one of the most atractive members, so he is just doing his thang. Jimin's moves are sexy but not sexual. BTS are skillful, unparalled performers, singing & dancing in a rhythmic way expressing ideas or emotions. All these guys are soooo amazing. Jimin happens to have the sexiest body movement that stands out for being smooth & sexy. He is not meaning to show indescent moves, it was his gift to be physically attractive & sexy. The videos in their entirety aren't necessarily sexualization, by definition. Pointing out moments when Jimin is clearly knowingly, willfully, acting sexy isn't sexualization. What I do see as sexualization is removing his face from frame to focus fully on his...for the purpose of public comments, let's just say... pelvic region. What I see as *problematic* sexualization (which I don't think these videos are guilty of) is creating a sexual feeling from a moment that wasn't originally sexual in nature by removing context through editing. Whether that be cropping photos and videos, slowing the clips down to give the illusion that acting sexy was their intention, zooming in to only focus on what they want you to see, as well as trimming the video again to force your focus. Everyone has the right to be sexy as well as sexual when they want to be, they shouldn't be shamed for it, and appreciating it isn't inherently problematic... although some do take "appreciation" WAY too far. The problem is that people also have the right to not be sexual whenever they want, and the fact that they do act sexy at other times doesn't negate that right. Basically... (might be an iffy analogy, as far as how it correlates, but I'm tired) Imagine a person who occasionally posts thirst traps then goes on to post a video of themselves playing on the beach with their kids and some thirsty mf edits it... Cropping out the kids, slowing it down, adding sexy music. Essentially removing all context. They've taken something meant to be innocent and fun, and manipulated it into something that the person in the video didn't intend, but also didn't consent to. Those are the times when the edits go too far, for me at least.

I expressed a similar opinion to this in my own, but you've been way more concise about it. Kudos, even if that analogy isn't to my taste. The issue for me is we can't truly know what character Jimin wants to portray and his personal boundaries since we don't know him. By common sense we can deduce that crotch grabbing in Bapsae was intended to seduce. But was he intending those VLive clip moments of licking a lollipop or drinking water as seductive ? If not and he was unaware, is it unacceptable when people crop out to just his lips doing otherwise ordinary things? Is it wrong to find his lips attractive enough that even if he didn't intend it, it's sexy to you? It's such a complicated issue and reminds me that fans and celebrities can't be as intimate as they'd hope to be for many reasons.

Because we don't know them personally, it's hard to know for sure what their intentions or boundaries are... I just think that some people forget that the members are real people, and that there *are* boundaries *at all*.

All of this is Jimin. The face, the body, the expressions, the way he moves - it’s all him. Some clever person just slowed down what he was doing, and he was doing it as an adult, in public - on stage, on sets, and he is fully clothed. He is also not doing anything vulgar or in poor taste. He is incredibly beautiful. And he is naturally a very sexy MAN. It is impossible to watch Jimin perform and not find him attractive. Do we sexualize him? I guess we do, to an extent…But he is a sexual being, you can’t see him as an asexual person, or a eunuch - that is just not the Jimin that he shares with us. Can I just say that I truly think Jimin captures SO many people because on one hand he has a very feminine delicate look to where he looks like an angel and on the other hand he is extremely sensual and sexy but is NEVER overboard with it. There’s a natural sensuality to Jimin that honestly just leaves us out of breath. He exudes charm like no others. If anything, that speaks for his talent as a true artist who has the ability to captivate his audience, no matter gender, age or sexuality. I agree that some moments are not necessary in the videos. However, as a whole, they are not so outrageous as to be labeled as overly sexualizing Jimin. I think some moments were captured quite well, with enough of an appreciation undertone and tiptoeing on the line but not crossing it. Park Jimin is a sensual creature. This is one of the reasons that I love Jimin. You take one of those clips and put it in Mochi compilation and it still feel perfectly fitted. I honestly don't find a problem with these videos... Like, they are showcasing a side of his stage presence, he's a performer and this is one of his selling points. To me it crosses the line when, for instance that one video of JK from one of the documentaries, he was backstage having a hard time breathing, he had to take his shirt off and was all sweaty due to just being back from performing. Many people commented on how hot he looked and this and that... Literally dismissing the fact that the poor dude was struggling with his health and trying to get air to his lungs and back to normal.

Jimin dances with so much soul in it. If you watch the music video of Filter, some would say that he is dancing sensually and seductively. I think he owes it to his ballet dancing training plus the fact that he is a passionate person when he dances. He admitted it himself that when he dances, he is absorbed into the world of the song or melody that he is dancing to. All in all, he is a very gòod and passionate dancer. Some people call him sexually provocative, but I'd say he is still that shy, mischevous, joyful and very caring person that he is.
