Mam why in cerebellar lesion there is hypotonia ?,( Actually the fibers from cerebellum constitute upper motor fibers )Thank you so much for this video mam pls clarify my doubt mam

If there is a cerebellar lesion in spinocerebellar division the signals from the proprioceptors would not be able to send signals to the cerebellum further decreasing the tone of the muscle. I think so.. @PhysiologyOpen ma'am please correct me if I'm wrong.

Hello Maam , 1. when the principle of hypertonia and exagerrated dtr is same, why should both tests be performed in case of umn hemiplegia ? I 2. How do we differentiate BTW initial phase of spinal shock and lmn lesion from examination? 3.pl explain Physiology of babinski positive.
@PhysiologyOpen
@PhysiologyOpen 3 жыл бұрын
1. All clinical examinations are like that , the finding of one part of examination is confirmed by other part. Also, this helps you localise lesion better 2. Initial stage of spinal shock has many other features including autonomic with involvement of bladder 3. Physiology of Babinski sign not clearly known
