In this video, you will learn how to setup DTXMania NX, the latest version of DTXMania.
Many thanks and good job to the DTXMania NX team for a successful release! This version is still being updated with more features, so expect more tutorials!
What you need:
1. PC - Core2Duo CPU or higher, 1GB Ram up, at least 1GB VRAM, Microsoft Windows 10
2. Electronic drum kit with MIDI to USB Support, with USB cable
3. DTXMania NX FSP
4. DirectShow SDK
5. DirectX Redist (if you get a d3dx9 error)
6. K-Lite Codec Basic Pack: www.codecguide...

I'm using the alesis nitro edrum kit, have the midi to usb cable and everything, my computer detects the device, but the game doesn't register the drums whenever I try to bind them? Any solutions?

Did you run DTXMania before turning on your E-drum kit, or did you turn off/reconfigure your E-drum kit while DTXMania is opened? Try opening your E-drum kit first then run DTXMania.

@@FurukonRhythmGaming I fixed it, thanks for tryna help though, apparently switching the midi in and out cables in the wrong positions got it to work.

Currently I'm using a Roland TD4 e-drum kit. There are a lot of e-drum kits that are compatible with DTXMania.

They have MIDI support so yes. They will work with DTXMania.

As of the moment, I'm using a Yamaha and Roland hybrid kit, but most of the parts are Roland. I will post a video of my current setup soon. :) It always depends on your budget. Most people go for the Alesis Turbo Mesh or Alesis Nitro Mesh, but if you have the budget, go for a Roland TD-1Kl.

Just wondering, can I still play old Drummania songs (if you're familiar with it) with DTXMania? I am a noob with this, I used to play in arcades in the Philippines back then.

What song is the hi-tom not working? If you hit the hi-tom and it responds on DTXMANIA then it is perfectly fine.

Aroma TDX is a cheap electronic drum kit and it works with DTXMANIA.

Yes, it will work woth DTXMania! Clone hero and Project Outfox are also e-drum games but you also have to download the songs. Another one is GITADORA, but you have to subscribe monthly.

Thanks for this - what is the difference between the DTXMania2, DTXMania NX, AL, XG ? Are they just different forks of the same software? Is the NX the recommend version over the others? Thanks!

Yes. These are different forks. The most widely used nowadays is NX, followed by AL. They have updated features, and is less buggy than other releases.
