[DTXMania Tutorial] How to setup DTXMania NX 2025

In this video, you will learn how to setup DTXMania NX, the latest version of DTXMania.
This tutorial is based on limyz's DTXmania NX fork (github.com/lim....
Every time a new version comes out, unless there is a necessity to make a new video, then we will just update the files.
Versions: (Last update, 1/28/2025)
DTXMania NX 1.4.2 (Current version)
Added GALAXY WAVE skins to the Full FSP version
Effective changes made for the FSP:
Number of Lanes is set to 9 for the real GITADORA experience
Muting LP is set to ON
What you need:
1. PC - Core2Duo CPU or higher, 1GB Ram up, at least 1GB VRAM, Microsoft Windows 10
2. Electronic drum kit with MIDI to USB Support, with USB cable
3. DTXMania NX FSP
4. DirectShow SDK
5. DirectX Redist (if you get a d3dx9 error)
6. K-Lite Codec Basic Pack: www.codecguide...

When Windows stops you with an alert, just press Run Anyway.

You don't need an extended drum kit. The 10 lanes can be configured as 9 lanes.

How to make ride and right cymbal as one? Same as how hi hat close and open?

Look for NumOfLanes in Settings and set it to 9 to make ride and right cymbal to one. For hi-hat: - Your hi-hat is multizone, and you need to map both zones at Drum Keys in Settings. - You need to map your hi-hat while stepping on the hi-hat pedal, and also map the hi-hat while not stepping at it at all, because it sends different signals.

Did you turn on your drum module before running DTXMania? If not, please do that first. Try a different USB Type B cable, or a different port as well.

i'm looking into the alesis nitro mesh vs nitro max, and from what i can tell, the mesh has midi whilst the max has usb. can both be used with dtx mania, if so which is preferred? and how to set it up with usb? the max is an improved version of the mesh, iirc

It depends on your budget, and needs. I've checked the specs and it says "(1) USB Type-B port". So yes, it is simple as connecting to any USB Port of your PC/Laptop, turning it on, then running DTXMania.

I recommend getting at least an Alesis Nitro Mesh. Aroma TDX will work, but it will have limited features.

DTXmania is a GITADORA simulator, while GITADORA is the official version of the game. There is a GITADORA PC version available called GITADORA Konasute.

This will only work when a chart has Guitar simfiles. In the song select menu, press SPACE BAR twice, then select Target -> Guitar or Bass.

MIDI port will work fine. You just need a MIDI cable for it. :)

Please try the following steps: - Make sure the Roland TD 1KPX module is turned off, and DTXMania is not running as well. Turn on the E-drum module first, then run DTXMania, then try to do the mapping process again: kzbin.info/www/bejne/Y3KceWqagZuIg8k - Try connecting it to a different USB port, then do the step above.

Just wondering if you encountered any problems with delays (I remember that time more than a decade ago when I tried to plug in a drummania koc directly to dtxmania and had unbearable delay problems and responsiveness)? If you did, how did you solve it?

@@FurukonRhythmGaming Hello. I encountered a problem although it's literally the last thing I need to solve in order to fully enjoy dtxmania. I did what I could but I'm stumped. Basically I tried this on: - The drumkit alone - Through reaper - Dtxmania I'm wondering why when on the drumkit itself or through reaper, it's ABLE to detect 32nd note (and faster/denser) snare/tom rolls while on dtx, it always drops like one out of four when I do it (usually the middle of the roll). It's also intermittent. Sometimes, I'm somewhat able to pull it off but yeah. For my part, to solve it I: - Followed and applied your ASIO4all video to the T - Tried it on reaper and to my surprise/relief, I can go as fast as I want without issues - edited the velocity config - Asked for help on discord - Checked my manual but sadly there isn't a way to adjust velocity/etc. on my module - Drum key edit: Just in case the lower volumes are detected as other inputs. - Checked around dtxmania settings but I'm not really sure what could help here. I can clear some songs that don't have as many fast rolls but that also means I'm locked out of the level 90 songs. I'm just hoping that the only solution isn't to replace my module with a yamaha or roland so soon haha. That's gonna burn my wallet.

You should check your module if it has a parameter that goes something like "Signal cancelling" or "Crosstalk prevention" or "Signal Respect". This differs on each module, so you have to check out your manual thoroughly and tinker with these settings. If you do not have settings like this, then you are out of luck, and the best way is to try another module. There are entry-level modules that do not let you adjust threshold/velocity, so if you encountered such a module, then unfortunately you have to try another module first. I have used Alesis, Yamaha, and Roland modules, and I would say that Roland modules have the best and finest tuning when you want to customize everything in your e-drum kit. Yamaha would be the second best, but then again, they remove some features on the basic entry level kits.

Not really much, but one is the looping feature for training songs, and search feature, to look for songs without having to go through folders.

You can only use WASAPI SHARED or DSound as the Sound mode if you want to capture it in OBS. If you're using ASIO then it won't be detected in OBS unless you have two sound cards.
