Leiji Matsumoto who made this work had a hard time as a foot soldier during WW2. He was almost dying in the battle. But local people saved him and he could survive. He realized the importance of peace and the reality of battlefield. He wants to announce the message below through his works. 「War makes people go mad.」

When i think to Japan, i figure a very beautiful country.. But first thing i've in mind is the great sense of Honor people have there.
