Julbombning Skritter to get me understanding basic characters Pleco graded readers and Mandarin Companion - audio for the graded readers is free I did NPCR 1&2 but now prefer the HSK standard course series as it’s less boring Currently taking every sentence in the book I am working through and adding it to Anki: write chinese on front card and translation on back (it’s not perfect but going for thousands of cards) Found a fun teacher on iTalki and have a couple of lessons a week Changed my attitude to think that one day I will be fluent and cracking on rather than dabbling Good luck!
This is amazing. You sound really legit... there's a tiny tiny bit of an accent, in my opinion, but the seriously amazing thing is the way you structure your thoughts is just like Chinese! This is something I just can't understand how to learn....

I would actually say his accent isbpretty strong lol he sounds so German! But who cares?! Having an accent means you know more than one language which is awesome (and yeah he obviously knows even way more than just a handfull). I really envy him for how much profound his chinese is cause I know he's also learned how to read and did read a lot of history and literature in chinese which is very very hard
