Dual Fuel Tank Switching Valve FSV2K function and operation (diesel fuel and WMO with Fass pump)

This video shows the basic layout and operation of the dual tank switch valve. I have pics of the wiring diagram and fuel hose diagram at the end of the video. This part cost $80 at Autozone in 2022.

They used those on 87 Chevy trucks with tbi and in tank pumps .

Samsung S21 Ultra and I edit with a program on my phone or sometimes I use Adobe Premiere.

Does the wiring allow both tanks to utilise a single gauge? When you flick between the tanks does it change the needle on the single OEM gauge?

Yes. You splice the original gauge wire to the switch and then the signal from each sender. The sender has to use the same ohm value range as the oem.

Chevy 2002 diesel dump 3500.. system shuts down dual feed for various issues and needs to be reset. Any info on how to reset ?

Did you do anything to the pick up tubes add a sump or anything, and have you had any issues since completion of this video

I stopped using this setup since I made the video. The Fass pump pulls way more than the small diameter passages thru this valve. My pump was in a constant state of cavitation making awful noises. I ended up using 1/2 hand valves which is annoying but it works. For a stock pump this setup should work fine.

Actually there a 7 lines. What did you do with the FASS return line? Wouldn't this be routed to the selected tank? If not, why not?

That actually ended up becoming a problem I didn't realize when I made this video. You really need a 2nd valve to divert the return as well. I have gone with a different and more complex setup since this time. This valve also csnt flow enough for the Fass pump and was constantly in a state of cavitation.

Fass return has to go to the selected tank otherwise it will overfill the opposite tank eventually. My current setup is manual valves. I'm still looking for the ideal automatic or at least not manual selectable switching setup.

I have a question. Where does the engine return get connected to. I see in the vid the return from the fass pump connects to the valve switch.

I had that same issue. What I've learned since this video is that the ports are too small on this valve to work with the Fass pump. It's gets bad cavitation.

I've gone thru 3 of those Chinese transfer valves on my 92 F250 diesel...total junk
