I got my SR 4x8GB B-Die Stable with some of the trickt mentioned here. I am using the current F20 Bios on the Gaming X z690. I found that locking the RTLs is not effective anymore and causes no post or unstable training. Locking the Rtts works tho. I have set the training voltage to 1.4v, vddq 1.4v, DDR 1.45v and SA to 1.25v. This allowed for successful training at least 10 times in a row now at 3800mts C15/15/15/28/43. The subtimings are not optimized yet. I am running the 13600k.

Hi! I'm a student, really enjoying your videos.. Just watched the XFX RX 580 GTS breakdown, because I own one myself and it has a strange issue.. I would be thankful if you could maybe point to me what is wrong with it.. So.. When the GPU is under some kind of memory load (Over 3gb out of 4gb), the program that is using that memory suddenly crashes resulting in a memory error.. That means I can't even run any modern games because it crashes immediately after something 3D renders. I ran OCCT and ran the memory test for 15minutes and it wouldn't go over 3gb so it didn't crash and then I ran an 8k video in background to use a little bit more memory and my Opera GX instantly displayed an "Out of memory" error. This is not the only thing wrong with this card, it also randomly flashes black screens while playing any mildly demanding game. I would love to hear your feedback on this, maybe if you know how to fix it I can send it to you for a video? Just a thought.. Btw I'm 100% positive that the error is in the GPU Because I tested it in multiple systems with same results
@xxcr4ckzzxx8402 жыл бұрын
Seems like at least one of the Memory Chips straight up died. There is really nothing to fix. You could reflow all Memory Chips, either via a Hot air gun, or, if you are lucky, via your Oven in the Kitchen. That being said, it really sounds like, that the Memory chip is just dead and not just "loose". Its worth a try, but more likely that the Card is dead. Only other thing would be to bumb Memory Voltage, if possible via Software and try it that way. I really doubt that this would help tho, sorry.

@@xxcr4ckzzxx840 What are the chances of my gpu becoming even worse than this, Since i don't have a spare?
@xxcr4ckzzxx8402 жыл бұрын
@@desireforcars8881 You should try to bump voltage on core/mem and reduce the frequency. Maybe that may help. In case of "how bad can it be", I can only say, that the tech God knows. In my opinion there shouldn't be any problems if you somewhat understand what you are doing. If the solder has already good contact, then it won't get worse, if you reflow it. If you fuck it up, then you may fry the chip, or the whole gpu. But other than that, there isn't really anything. As I said, some knowledge is required and it it already sits there good, then it's sits good twice. If it sits bad, it may fix it. If the chip is dead anyway, then better contact won't help, so nothing will change. These are the tree options I see, besides catastrophic failure because of not enough knowledge. If you have a pizza oven, which goes to something like 400°C, then heat it up, put the card, without plastics ofc, in there and wait for 5 to 7 minutes to bake it. Take it out, cool it down and check if it works (again). That should/can reflow the solder, but no guarantees there.

Regarding voltage issue - currently I have B560 Tomahawk motherboard that have weird quirk of not being able to set voltage for memory controller, when I try to set a voltage from red range (1.21V for SA/1.16V for IO and higher) straight from auto or when it's set to red range but it's a cold boot. Not booting at all, even with whole bios on default settings. I need to first set the board to white range (1.205/1.15V and less), apply these and reboot and only then I can punch in higher voltages and it will boot 100%, until next cold boot. Maybe it's similar here?
