Nostalgia for Guitar Hero bite me in the ass these days and i'm playing again after 10 years i think. I have the guitar controller but i have to go with the controller, why? because i never beat the GH2 on expert thanks to fking Misirlou. So i have to give closure to this pending task before i kick the bucket. And speaking of Bucket here i find something i knew it will happen at some point, dude you were amazing!! coming back to play this game and with controller is nothing i remember, it was easy back when i was 12yo but now with 30yo it really makes my hand hurt like hell, and i'm an actual guitar player, even i can play this song for real, so WTF?! Anyway, you rock dude!

Do you use Dualshock 1 or 2? I find that 1 feels better for Guitar Hero. My biggest issue is how the buttons feel mushy after playing for a while (probably heat). Awesome video

On GH3 (either console or PC versions) notes from the right (red, yellow, blue and orange) can be strummed using the notes from their left. So we can strum red using the green; yellow using the green and red; blue using green, red and yellow; orange using green, red, yellow and blue. There's no trick for green notes, only alt tapping. And a curiosity: devs implemented the same in Clone Hero (gamepad mode). So, what I did was to hit the 1st yellow "normally", and while I kept holding it, I pressed green to hit the sustained yellow.

GH3 PC + OBS Studio for recording. Solo B is harder to get consistency, but the solo C has that chokable fast strum at the beginning (1/3 times hitting the solo B I choke right there).

Just wanna let you know: You can run a dualshock 4 wired and increase the polling rate to 1000hz using a tool called hidusbf-master I use it for Rocket League and it makes the controller so much more responsive

It would be great if it was possible with a dualshock 2. The dualshock 4 anatomy is not the best for some techniques I'm used to apply (like the green note fast strum).

Nesse caso são notas hopos (hammer ons/pull offs), onde você pode segurar a nota mais à esquerda e bater as da direita, que as da esquerda vão ser contabilizadas também. Não dá pra ser feito o oposto (segurar as da direita e bater as da esquerda). Esse recurso existe desde o GH1 (apesar de muito ruim) pras guitarrinhas, e no controle existe desde o GH3 (Clone Hero atualmente tem o mesmo recurso).

Isso de segurar funciona com notas do tipo "hammer on" (essas com uma "luz" no topo), é recurso do próprio jogo mesmo. Porém, você só pode segurar as notas do lado esquerdo e ir apertando as notas do lado direito. Se fizer o oposto não funciona.

You can hold the notes positioned on the right part of the fretboard and strum them using the ones on the left. Example: hold the yellow and strum them alternating the green and red. This is a feature in every console - PS2, X360, PS3 and PC - but only in GH3 (and now in Clone Hero too).
