I found you just about two months ago while I was getting ready to be off my feet and confined to one floor of our house. I was getting ready for foot surgery and not being able to put any weight on my foot for a month to 6 weeks. I had already moved my sewing machine, glue guns scrap baskets and gnome related craft supplies to the living room where I planned to spend my nonwalking days as the bones mended. Yesterday, five weeks after the surgery, I learned the bones were out of place, my next surgery is in 3 days. I was not pleased but I relaxed because this news gave me 6 more weeks on my bum, perfecting my gnome troupe. You have solved many of my gnome fabricating questions, even ones I didn’t know I had. Thank you so much. My family thanks you.

I am so sorry to hear that you have gone through so much and I am praying that all goes well with this next surgery. I am glad to hear that you are spending the time crafting and that you are looking for the positive.

Thank you for sharing your incredible talent! I follow several gnome creators, but none compare to you. You're manner of teaching & encouraging gnome lovers always take away the fear of not having to be perfect. I'm currently working on an Irish female gnome with a kilt skirt & short coat which I'll share when completed. I'm no seamstress but the box stich is so more neater th glue & the final outcome is worth the extra time. I look forward to seeing more vidoes to inspire me to find my creative side. I would love to see a display of all your characters. Stay well Duane!

Wow an Irish female! That sounds like a beautiful challenge. I love the kilt skirt and female gnomes are harder than male gnomes. I can not wait to see. Thank you. I do have a Facebook page if you wish to see my gnomes. HeartFeltCreations99

thank you for showing how one can either sew or glue the hat together. When you are doing the blanket stitch, how many strands of thread are you using?
@duanedking84983 жыл бұрын
I started out using 2 strands but found I had to use so much in length that it made it harder to work with. I now just use one strand. Makes it easier and faster. Thank you for the question.

Hello, I enjoy your videos very much and have bought all your patterns from your Etsy shop. Just one question...I just made a top hat and it turned out pretty good! But I'm a bit confused as how to glue it on as it is so big it kinda floats at the top of the body. What exactly do you glue the hat onto? You don't really show that...thank you for your time!
