I remember your diss track which is the best KZbin diss I’ve heard period 5 years ago because you did what Drake didnt. Drake missed Kendrick’s persona and image completely! The angles matter most. He’s throwing out shit about contracts and splits and exposing who fucked whose girl? That works on a rapper like Drake. Kendrick’s entire image is based on focusing on his art, conscious rap, his impact within the culture etc You need to get creative to attack his integrity, some hypocrisy. Anyone, someone like ‘em can weave a narrative, or lupe, or Budden. Drake even in his content doesn’t story tell or weave narratives well it’s all disconnected punches in one direction mostly. Pusha T had drake tapping out because the exposure hit his image and in that track he’s poking at his insecurities. Drake is so open to just being broken down by someone of Kendrick’s stature and authenticity because Drake tried hard getting away from the soft, sheltered, child narrative and everyone knows he doesn’t get respect in the lane he wanted it, all the overcompensation. The more he talks about numbers the more he’s setting himself up to get cooked.
