That's a good looking device. Well designed and easy on the eyes. The reject bin is brilliant.

I'm thoroughly shocked... This is indeed a cool bit of kit!!

@@DubiousEngineering well yeah, after all the made in China plastic junk the world is flooded with, quality, like things that were made in the distant past, shocks us. Years ago, things were made to be repaired from shoes, leather goods, radios...one refrigerator would last a lifetime. Sigh.

Would have been really useful back when I was using AA's a lot. But really not so much now. As other said, if this could be done with other batteries that could be good.Interesting gadget all the same.

A cracking invention…. And yes, I believe there will be many more variations to accommodate different types of batteries in the future. Same as you, don’t chew through too many AAs there days.

This Kind of charger for 18650/26650 would be so cool. I own 2x SKYRC B6ACV2 (1 of them on my 3D Printer/Laserprinter PC at my Hobbyroom) and i build two 6x balanced Charging Rig but i had to manage them all by Hand and had to start everytime a 6S (LiPo[18650] or LiFe[26650]) Bal-Charge. The shown Machine for 650 lenght would be a Gamechanger.

I absolutely agree with you!! Same principle but 18650!! Amazing idea!! 😀👍

Yes this would be great for 18650 charging & testing esp if you are building a power wall.

Great idea and a neat machine, I could have done with this 20 years ago. But who has rechargeable AA these days?

Lots of gaming handsets use AA batteries... Must admit, Im a big fan of the li ion AA batteries....

Great product, are there any plans for other size batteries?

They make a AAA version of this... I'd love 18650 management!!!

Great video Howard! Just a question about the rejects. Is there anything a hacker can do to "regenerate" these back to some semblance of life?
@DubiousEngineering3 ай бұрын
Hey Preet, I’ve tried that a few times with NiMh - limited success. Once they are too old or damaged, they tend to be un recoverable. 18650 lithium batteries can spring back into life….
