Nice idea but I think Olight needs to come out with a bay charger to charge Olight proprietary batteries.

I got both the AA and AAA. I’m happy to see the prototype ahead.

I like this 1. how long does it take to charge each battery 2. how many fully charged batteries does the bottom drawer hold 3. what happens if the bottom drawer is full of batteries. does it stop charging?

From my use, each battery could take up to an hour to charge if high capacity and fully discharged. I cycled through 32 lightly discharged batteries in a couple hours. It holds 32 on top and 32 on bottom. I overfilled mine and it seemed to do some clicking and cycling but nothing happened. The Ostation X can be up updated with firmware so likely they will address solutions as needed.

That's a fantastic idea. Looks like a winner to me. Thanks Doc

We run though AAs at church all the time. Think. This looks super interesting. The things "doc" didn't cover. How many batteries at a time does it charge?
@lastbesttool4 ай бұрын
I think I read somewhere that it was 4 at a time, but since I cannot confirm it, and it spits them out one at a time, I didn't mention it. I figure it is a tool that runs in the background providing a fresh supply of batteries. Also, I believe I read somewhere it charges maybe twice as fast as other chargers.

Hello again, Doc Thank you for another Great Video 👍

If you only use AA. I have 5 or 6 different batteries. I'll stick with a 4-bay charger. If I do burn through that many AA. I do have an 8 bay AA/AAA charger.

One must REALLY have a need for AA batteries to get that!

You'd be surprised, AA are in everything...

Does it matter the polarity of putting the AA in the top hopper?
@MPD904 ай бұрын
Did you even watch the video where this is clearly discussed? In short, no, it doesn't.
@daifeichu4 ай бұрын
He mentioned that in the video. It doesn't matter as the charger will figure out polarity and then begin charging.
@lastbesttool4 ай бұрын
Nope. The sensor adjusts the charging to the direction of the battery.

9v versioversion of this would be good

my battery needs are: AAA, AA, 18650 & 16340 with heavy use of AAA then AA something like this is overkill for me be nice to have some king of data display I scavenged 18650's from old laptops hard to find good lithium cells especially 16340 there's new larger sizes of the 18650 & 16340 that are hard to find as well my sister down on the Gulf Coast just went through a WEEK without electric - Hurricane Beryl unless you have a generator with a very large tank it's not going to last long we're teetering on the brink...
