For me I just love music and working in my fathers recording studio at a very young age and still feel the zest to keep on producing Reggae Dub style music in this modern digital techno world it excites me even more!

HI Everyone, I would like to try mixing Dub music from vinyle turntable and Ableton LIVE with a MIDI mixer as Clive Chin does on this video but I'd like to be sure not forgetting or misunderstanding anything. So is that correct that if you plug a Vinyle Midi Turntable by USB to Ableton and add a MIDI USB Mixer then you can separate all the element of the song with Ableton Live on many tracks and control them as shown on the video with the mixer ? If Ableton allow you to do it It would be wonderful :) Cheers

If you want to mix like this you need the seperated files, also called stems. You can only get these from the artist themself or produce them yourself, as far as my knowledge goes, Enjoy Bless

Jealous of those stems 😏

As you see, he bussed a lot of tracks in 4-5 tracks. To make a quality work u need great stems (he has, we no), possibiity of useing the faders (in an analogue console the resolution is infinite, try to do it with 127 numbers, like MIDI controllers like that, u're not going to have the right control), the system as he provided lacks of effect returns on faders, controls on the effects, and the effects themselves. So,dont get it by molten gold, u got what u pay

I bought a ds1 and it's sweet, but I think it was a mistake not using RGB LEDs on the pots. I think it really cheapens the unit having to --pay extra-- for little plastic pieces just to add colour, not to mention they are expensive little pieces of crap for what you get. After shelling out for two sets so I could have more of certain colours they don't even look that great truthfully.
