Did that desert safari tour when I visited dubai with two friends back in 2015. Highly recommended for anyone visiting dubai! The camel ride was a little short, although you seemed to get a longer version :)

Gabe, Very touristy but what else do yo do in Dubai. I have been there twice. Once as a 2 day stopover. I felt like I had to see it but I didn't really like it that much. To me the city did not have any soul. All so new and ostentatious. Quite an amazing place with what is going on there but I prefer the old souks of the old towns. Keep up the fantastic videos. I am retired now and have travelled the world extensively but I think those days are over so I re- live a lot of stuff thru you videos. WHEN are you going to Everest Base Camp??? Keep safe.

I look forward to that. The trek has changed SO much over the number of years in terms of the accommodation available. It's not roughing it anymore. Bit of a pity in some ways. Gorak Shep is still a bit dodgy re available rooms. Word of advice - try to make enough time to go to Gokyo sacred lakes and climb to Gokyo Ri early morning to get the clear skies as the view from the top is mind blowing over looking the turquoise blue lakes and the mountains. I think the elevation is about 5,400 mts. Then you can cross the big glacier and climb over Cho La pass on toward Everest. I am sure you will research it your self any way. Keep the great stuff coming. I love your style.

Hey Gabriel. Come and visit abu dhabi as well. 2 hrs away from dubai. Go to Al Ghubaiba Bus terminal and look for bus (red color) going to abu dhabi. The fare is only 25 dirhams. You can visit Grand Mosque for free and many others.

Found the hostel on hostelworld. Was expecting to pay a lot more and it popped up. They offered the tour from the hostel but slightly more expensive, so the girls went online and found a cheaper rate.

Will you be visiting Oman? It is amazing. My favorite country in the middle east by far. And it is very close from where you are. You can get to Muscat from Dubai in 5 hours by bus.

Gabriel Traveler Awesome, Oman is amazing. It is still very unspoiled by western culture and cheap. There is a an oasis in the mountains called “Wadi Shab” where you can swim in crystal clear turquoise water coming from a spring. It is amazing. Also there is a town in the south called Salalah which has incredible beaches similar to Thailand almost. Complete with swaying coconut trees and everything. Totally uncharacteristic for the Arabian Peninsula. Oman is badass!

Yes I mentioned it was $20 at the beginning (60 Emirati dirhams). But that didn't include the beer and we paid 20 dirhams extra for a longer camel ride, but a shorter one was included. Otherwise everything else was included in the price, food, transportation, entertainment, etc.

It was 65 dirham actually. And I had to pay for the beer, and the camel ride was actually 20 dirham because we got a slightly longer one. The free ride was even shorter.

Poor camels. They are subjected to a life of pain and misery because tourists want to sit on them all day and think that they are also enjoying it. They often collapse from dehydration and bodily stress, no to mention being prodded with sticks and kicked (often the worst when tourists aren’t looking)..
